Kaydon POV

"What are you talking about?" Jamie asked, she was scared but I think I saw excitement in her eyes.

"We are going to teach you about the alpha state." Her dad repeated.

"How? wait, are you shifters?!" she yelled.

"Yeah." her mum said slowly.

"What kind?"

"Well I'm a Komodo shifter and your mother is a fox shifter." her dad replied.

I am going to pass out!!!!!

"Prove it." Blake said boldly, he seemed totally unfazed.

Then they did something I would never expect, the turned into giant animals. A huge Komodo dragon and a glorious bright red fox. My mouth hung open. The went up the stairs and came back in human form with clothes on.

"So," her dad clapped his hands together. "Let's get started."

We got up and did what they said.

"So now. Think of shifting. Think of your animal." I closed my eyes and thought of Darien. There he was, a proud black and white wolf.

"Good," her mums voice was distant. " Now tell them

You are wanting alpha." How do I do that?

Darien. I want alpha. he nodded his huge head.

"Okay open your eyes now." her mum said gently. Before I did I felt a weird tingle run through my body. My hearing and smell heightened and I opened my eyes only to be bombarded by colour and lights. I looked over at Jamie and I was amazed.

She was beautiful. Her hair was still in a neat high pony tail but she had a crown of feathers that sprouted from her scalp. She had wings and I noticed she had claws too. Long black talons on each finger. Her clothes had changed too, now she was in Greek style armour. Her breast plate was shining silver. With a kite embedded in the front across her shirt. Her pants we a short skirt like astrids from how to train your dragon. (A/N: don't judge me, where do you think I got my name from?) . then I looked at Blake. He looked similar except his costume had come off and he was shirt less. his fake glasses lay on the floor. He also had a crown of feathers on his head except his slanted back ward. He had razor sharp talons and a sword strapped to his belt. Then I realised, I too had no shirt. I looked down at myself and didn't notice much of a difference, except for one slightly embarrassing thing, I had a dog tail. My nails where a lot sharper and longer. I felt stronger, like I could do anything. I noticed the others where looking at them selves too. When they looked up at me I noticed there eyes where different, not like when we control it. Jamie's eyes where almost entirely white, only other colour was the slit pupil in the centre. Blake's where black the only colour was the yellow slit pupil. They looked so cool! an I probably looked like an idiot. She walked over to me and reached out her hand I moved back a bit.

"Don't you cut me with those." I threatened. She looked down at her hand and smiled the moved closer, she ran he nail tip down my neck on the side.

"Kaydon, your ears." she exclaimed I was confused so I reached up and put my hand on my ear. I was amazed when I felt that me ear was higher and slightly pointed at the tip. I probably looked like an elf with a tail. She looked me up and down. Then she saw the tail and laughed.

"Shut up." I whined. "Hey don't laugh at me your the one who has a feather crown. She looked confused so she reached up and felt the feathers on we head her eyes went huge! you should have seen her face!! Blake came up to us and gave us the once over.
