A/N
I'm back? So yeah I decided I don't want to start a new Camren teacherxstudent fanfic anymore and I'm gonna stick to this one. Lmao sorry for all this indecisiveness. Anyways here's a short chapter because I wanted to give an update. Enjoy!
Camila's PoV
I walk back to my classroom with a plastered frown, still raging about what Ryan had said to Lauren. The fact that the boy showed no mercy when he had been confronted, angered me even more.
"Lauren." I whisper softly when I enter the classroom. "Are you still here?"
I look up to see a watery eyed Lauren, slouched forward in her seat, her cheeks and under eyes considerably red.
"Uh huh." She mumbles, wiping her watery eyes.
I walk towards her and pull a chair beside her, looking into her deep green eyes only for her to look away.
"Would you like to go home Lauren?" I ask her softly. "You don't have to stay here if you don't want to."
"I wouldn't be able to go home." I hear her mumble. "My moms out again somewhere this week, and you know they only let you leave school early if an adult picks you up."
"Do you not have anyone else to call?" I ask hesitantly. She seems to stall for a moment, but then shakes her head, breathing a deep sigh.
"You could stay in my classroom." I suggest. "I have no more lessons today being as it's a Monday."
She nods her head with a small grateful smile. I smile back softly and slouch in my desk chair, fiddling about with my laptop keys.
"Do you um...want to talk about what happened?" I ask hesitantly, searching Laurens emerald eyes.
"Not really." I hear her mumble quietly.
"Okay." I smile softly. "We don't have to talk about it. Hopefully the boys will be getting what they deserve."
Lauren nods with a small smile, and I don't dwell on the subject anymore. Instead we both sit quietly in the comfortable silence, daydreaming through the windows ahead.

It's 3:30pm and most of the staff have already gone home, including Lauren for that matter. She left thirty minutes ago after I released her with a small sympathetic smile.
I'm hunched over my laptop as I quickly type out a letter on a word document. It's a leaflet about an upcoming English school trip in December time. The students who want to go, will be going to Paris for two weeks to make up some creative writing for half their final grade at the end of the year.
I smile relievedly as I finish printing out the letters. School trips are always my favourite parts about being a teacher. Just seeing the students in their own individual form, care free and without the stress of school and lessons ahead of them always seems to bring a smile to my face.
I finish out printing the letters and lock them in my desk drawer, keeping them safe for my English lesson tomorrow.
The car park is almost empty when I reach it, and I climb inside my car whilst shoving my bags into the back. I turn the radio on to classic and then pull out of the car park, back to my apartment.
Lauren seems to be on my mind most of the car journey, and also when I arrive inside my apartment, and am greeted by a smiling Michael.
"Hey babe." He says with a smile.
I don't smile back.
Because honestly, I think I've been lying to myself this whole time. I feel nothing for Michael anymore. And I reason whether I'm staying with him because it's the safe option, not because I actually want to.
