Aren's POV
I noticed that Edward Cullen was hanging out with Bella a lot more now. She's clearly a great match for him.

I walked into the cafeteria with Jacob and all the conversations stopped. The people huddled in groups and moved stuff to take up the seats that were clearly free. We ended up sitting with Alice and Jasper, which was pretty awkward. As soon as the fifteen minute bell had rung, Jacob and I were out of there, racing outside. I laughed as we raced through the woods, arms pumping as fast as we could go. I didn't realize we were in La Push until Sam lunged, roaring and howling for backup from the pack of his. I roared and kicked him in the muzzle and he groaned and I walked away with Jacob.

I hugged Jacob before we walked back into the classroom which was science. I looked at Jacob and groaned as I saw what was written on the board. Groups of 4, means two more people who were either hating us, or terrified of what we could do. He reached out and gripped my hand and I felt my pulse slow a bit. "So you'll be getting into groups of four. Go ahead now." And everyone immediately went away from us and I sighed. "Well we can do this on our own Mr Connors." I said and he shook his head. "Oh no you won't. You'll be working with Bella Swan and Edward Cullen."

And I grimaced and sat next to Edward to keep the peace between the two. "Don't." I said and glared at the two boys who were already eyeing each other like they were hunter and prey. I concentrated on keeping the peace in control while Bella helped Edward with the mixtures and Jacob was writer of progress. Finally after many mini explosions and a bunch of water depression systems deployed, we were out of the science lab. I exhaled and leaned against Jacob, my eyes half-open. "Well someone's tired." Edward said, glaring at me curiously. "If you were so concerned about us and our health, get Jasper onto animal blood." And I pushed past him, hugging Bella gently before walking away with Jakob.

I lay on the roof of the house I was renting for the pack.

Jacob climbed up and I looked at the stars again. Jacob wrapped one of his arms around me in a hug, his eyes looking into mine. I heard a howl and I leaped down and landed lightly next to Seth whose turn it was to patrol.

"What is it buddy?" I asked and he growled and let out a long cool howl. I saw Edward and Jasper approaching, with Esme and Carlisle. I growled and I saw Jacob pulling his jacket off and I shook my head and he dropped it anyways, his muscles rippling in the furious glare of my red, glowing eyes.

I whistled twice and Leah appeared with Embry and Quil, standing behind and on both sides of the Cullens. "What do you want?" I asked, growling at Carlisle who stepped forward first to speak to us. "We want to know what the pack is doing. You guys clearly split up, why?" And I looked at Jacob who shook his head and growled at the Cullens, especially Edward. "I'm afraid we can't tell you that." I said, my voice steady as I reached out to restrain Jacob who was growling.

I looked at him and jerked my thumb and he went inside. Suddenly I heard howling and Derek raced into the clearing, his body covered with blood and scratches. "Sam and Paul." He said and I howled and Jacob ran out of the house.

"Paul and Sam." And I looked at the Cullens. "Go. Before they find you here." And Edward disappeared with Jasper. Esme and Carlisle followed quickly and I snarled as Jacob phased, ripping his shirt off before he did. I snarled as we waited for Sam and his pack to appear. They did and they circled us, and we snarled at them and I faced off as a wolf against Sam. Where have you been? He growled. Around. You're on our territory Sam, we've claimed it as our own. I growled back, looking at Jacob who faced off with Paul. There is No territory for you here. Ever. Get out. Sam snarled.

No. You don't command us. Jacob growled, muscling his way to my side. Jacob Black. Grandson of Our chief. You should have been alpha. Instead you kneel to the one who has imprinted on you. Sam growled. No one kneels to me Sam. Here we are equals. You have invaded our territory and killed members of my pack. You don't deserve a pack of your own, not one in La Push, not one anywhere. I snarled at Sam who growled at me, fangs bared, eyes glowing sharply red, the mark of an alpha. He turned his attention instead to Jacob who growled at his sudden interest in him. You can still walk away from this Jacob Black. Come home, your father wishes for you to come home. You can surrender and let your friends back into the pack. Sam said and I looked at Jacob and I bowed my head to Jacob.

Do what you think is right Jake. I growled gently and he nodded and bowed his head to Sam. If they will be safe, if you swear that they will be safe, I'll come home. And Sam nodded. They will be Jacob. Now go see your father. And Jacob disappeared, racing away, quickly disappearing into the night. I stood up and pulled on my shirt and pants. I nodded at the rest of the pack and slowly but surely, Quil, Embry, and Seth appeared in human, but Leah was nowhere to be found. I looked at Leah and felt my heart breaking.
