~*~*~*~*My Stone*~*~*~

*Quandiplestoram's Point of View*

Before I even fully got out of the cave, I froze and stared in wonder at the camp. It wasn't a camp, it was a palace! It even had a giant garden.

As far as I could see, the whole area was outlined by trees. In the centre was a castle, but with huge holes put randomly across the creamy walls. The holes, I found out, were used by Aretna to fly in and out of the castle.

Vines covered in beautiful flowers trailed down from the roof, around the castle were columns, some broken, some not. All these poles were connected by the vines, and there were no paths at all, just grass and flowers and trees.

The trees were tall and twisted in the weirdest ways, and I could see Aretna climbing on them and jumping around. The trees had either exotic fruits that my first master had never allowed, or the wonderful flowers. I had never seen such beauty before. It was like everything I had ever wanted to live in put together. It was fabulous.

Caramel , who was already ahead of me, turned back and smirked. "You like it here, huh?"

Still too amazed to speak, I nodded slowly, my eyes taking in everything greedily, as if someone will take this away from me right now.

Like they always did. I growled silently to myself. I could remember clearly what happened when I found an awesome stone. It was great autumn, a great day, everything was great . That great day my masters had made me sweep up their garden.

So anyway, I was sweeping it up, and I noticed my masters going over to their neighbour. After a few minutes they went back home. It was weird, but I didn't pay attention. I was almost done sweeping up all the leaves, when the wind blew really hard and scattered all the leaves. And the weird thing was that I heard a whisper. As if the wind was whispering.

But I ignored it, since I was already sweating, exhausted, and ready to go to sleep, and now I had to start all over again!

Stupid wind. Always making me restart. I bit my lip, took a deep breath and readied myself. Giving up meant a beating from my masters.

Starting to sweep again, my broom- my masters only allowed me to use an old broom- hit something. I bent down and checked, curious. To my surprise it was a stone. A really colourful, glittering stone.

It was just like any other stone, same size, same shape, but the colour was what made it special. I grabbed it and held it tightly on my hand, feeling happier than before.

I finished my job soon after, since the wind didn't bother me. All the while holding my stone. As soon as I entered the house, my masters immediately made sure everything was made perfectly.

"Look! Honey it's a leaf! You! Come here!" Master had screamed. I got scared. I couldn't have left a leaf! I had made sure everything was gone from their lawn!

But looking out I was filled with dread. Leaves. Lots of them. All over their lawn. I was about to turn around to face them and insist that I had cleaned up everything, when I noticed, reflecting of the window, how they exchanged evil smiles.

" Boy, dear." Madam whispered. " I think you should be punished. You have disappointed us. Look over here." Shivering, I slowly turned around and faced them. Master picked up his cane.

I clenched my stone tightly. Master raised his cane and was about to bring it down when suddenly Madam stopped him. "Wait. Boy open your hand. What's that? Dear open his hand."

I remember thinking No, no way, please! But Master opened my 10 year old hand easily with his older and stronger hand. he grabbed the stone and showed it to Madam. "Well well well. Our little boy is picking up our things from our own yard! " She snatched up my stone ." You'll never see it again!"

It wasn't theirs, this wasn't fair ! I had picked up my hand and hit her. My back still has the red line across it, made by my Master's cane.

"Quandi? Quandi! Are you listening?" I snapped back to the present.

Caramel and a rose coloured Aretna were staring at me. "Wait what? Sorry I missed the last part."

"As I was saying, this is the leader of the camp, Roze."
