After such a long ride, everyone was relieved to have finally arrived at the new town. Like a haggard old sea captain kissing the land after a perilous journey on ceaseless seas, the children and adults alike stretched and enjoyed the spacious solid ground.

Bon nearly got lost as the three explored this new town. Calista didn't join them, as she drove her wagon around to find the perfect place to set up shop.
After begging to go into every candy store she saw, and this town had a surprising amount of candy shops, Dan agreed that Bon could get a bag of sweets after they ate dinner.

Deliciously spiced food consisting of rice and vegetables made for some happy stomachs, and afterward some candy made happy kids.
It had been a long day of driving, so everyone slept well that night at a cozy inn, as rain pitter-pattered gently over the roof, and thunder murmured off in the distance.

Barely after the sun awoke, Bon was up and dragging the boys down to breakfast. She gobbled up her plate of fruit and pancakes and waited impatiently for her half-asleep brother and uncle to catch up.
"C'mon! Let's go meet up with miss Calista!" The girl exclaimed as she jumped to her feet the very moment everyone had finished their last bites. She bounded out the doors and skipped along the street as they walked to where their fortune-telling friend had set herself up.

"Hello, nice morning is it not?" Caldista greeted Bon as she arrived a good two minutes earlier than the others.
"'Morning!!" Bon chimed, "so, now that we're in a new town, what have you got planned for us to practice?"
Calista finally turned around to face Bon and gave a shadow of a smile. "Perhaps you should figure that out yourself."
Bon's blank expression fully displayed her confusion as she tried to figure out what she was meant to do.

The boys walked up, Dan panting slightly. He almost seemed like he wanted to say something to Bon about running off, but apparently decided against it. He was barely a main character anyway.

"Maybe we should go find more people who need help!" Bon decidedly announced after the pondering pause.
Calista's eclipsed smile brightened, showing in her eyes as well the soft beauty of a full moon. "That is a lovely idea. You may go, I will keep an eye on you from here, so be good." With that she turned back to the sign she was putting up and straightening. In this moment Calista became fully aware of how fond she was for these children. Just maybe it wasn't such a bad thing they had ended up with these powers.
A small, fluffy head peeked from behind the door, emitting a soft meow. This adds nothing whatsoever to the story, as we can't understand what it means.

"Ok! I'll do so well, just you watch! We're gonna help so many people!" Bon bounced as she walked over and grabbed her brother's arm, "Let's go!"

Pip almost slipped his arm away instinctually, but he didn't feel annoyed at all. Actually, the boy was rather joyful, and excited for the adventures of helping people and practicing his gift. "Alright then, yeah, let's go!" He laughed faintly and locked arms with his sis as they walked off.

"They will be fine." Calista said reassuringly to Dan, who was obviously tired but preparing to follow the children as they rushed off.

"Oh, hah, I suppose you're right. This is a pretty safe city, so I suppose they don't need an ol' man like me followin' 'em around! Need any help here?" Dan wanted to spend time with the kiddos, but they seemed happy on their own, and he could use a little break. "So, how's it work, your power? Haha I'm a little left out here, I'd like to understand a bit more if you don't mind explainin'!" He added cheerfully.

Calista sighed, but didn't seem as guarded. "Very well, I shall tell you what I know. First things first, this mobile home was made out of materials creating a gate of sorts, from this world to another brining with magic. My mother was from there, hence why I have these powers myself, but I was born here and have only visited that world a few times, when my mother was alive. The truth is, I am unsure how to use this vehicle to get to the other world, if it's even possible..." She stoped for a moment and looked at Dan to see if he was following.

Dan was so kind and honest it bordered on gullible, so he had no doubts or trouble believing this story. His eyes were focused and fascinated as he listened.

Calista sighed, relieved this time. It felt surprising nice to talk to someone about herself, as a change to only ever telling others about themselves. She continued, "Don't get me wrong, I am content in this world, and I've mostly given up on finding a way to the other. I was of course rather surprised when that incident occurred with your children. I believe that for some reason a part of this vehicle was activated, and as a portal to the other world it's magic leaked into this one, specifically your children absorbed it. Well, that is my theory."

Dan interrupted slightly, but not with a question about all of this new information, "Oh! Haha I never said anything so you wouldn't know, but those kids aren't mine. I never had any of my own, those two are my brother's kids!

Calista seemed a bit shocked that this was the detail he decided to comment on. She had honestly expected him to be a bit more confused by the whole story. "Ah, yes, I had just mean the children with you. I see, they are your niece and nephew then."

Dan, "yep! Well sorry, continue with your story! I don't really get it all, but it sounds pretty neat! I still don't get how your powers work though either."

Ah, so he was just an idiot, Calista thought. "Well, as far as I've seen, each person has a unique way that their abilities manifest when exposed to magic. Mine is the ability to see a single person at a time throughout all time and space, basically I see their entire life, past and future. Though, since the future is never really written in stone, as they say, I do occasionally turn out to be wrong, and the farther into the future I look, the more uncertain it is. Either way, as you could imagine, this is most useful for fortune-telling and finding lost people on occasion, but only if I had already met them before they were lost so it's not useful very often. All magic has limits and rules. Philip's, or "Pip"s ability seems to be that he can see through space, and unlike me he can locate things he's seen only in pictures. Bonnie appears to be able to look through time, but only the timeline from her current location. Does that answer your questions?"

"Yeah! That was a very clear explanation!" Dan smiled. "But, we must have a really lazy author to dump all that info like this, haha!"

Calista frowned, "What are you talking about? Stop breaking the fourth wall..."

Meanwhile, Bon and Pip were off trying to find people in need of help. It was a peaceful city though, and lack of problems means lack of need for help.
The two didn't give up though, Pip looked around the city with his Vision to find where something might slip up, and Bon offered help before people asked for it.

After a few hours of helping with things like picking up dropped papers before they got stepped on, helping avoid a horse getting spooked, and helping a lost child find their mother, the two returned triumphantly with more experience, and a few local candies they'd received as thanks.
