"daddy!" rosalia squealed, running into her father's arms. andrew felt a smile tug at his lips at the sight of his daughter.
"hey, princess." andrew dropped his bag at the door, kicking the front door closed with his foot. "where is everyone?"
"uhh," rosalia looked around for a second before letting out a series of giggles. "ad is sleeping and everyone else is in the studio. can kat come over tonight?" andrew parted his lips slightly, putting his daughter down. he could see the child's lip pouting as she begged to let her best friend come over. "please, daddy? we don't have school tomorrow and i even cleaned my room and helped ad with the dishes!"
andrew put his hands on his hips, tilting his head as he looked down at his daughter. rosalia mirrored his movements, putting her hands on her hips. andrew tried to keep his laugh at bay, but failed. he picked the child up again, sending her a smile. "you're getting too big for me to pick up."
rosalia let out a series of giggles, covering her mouth with her hand. she rolled her eyes playfully. "yeah, daddy! i'm going to be seven in a few weeks."
andrew scrunched his eyebrows at the child's words, putting his free hand over his heart. "my princess is growing up so fast." rosalia wrapped her arms around andrews neck, andrew closing his eyes for the moment. "kat can come over if it's okay with her mom, rose."
"really?" rosalia pulled back, a bright smile on her features. "yes!" she jumped out of her father's arms.
andrew watched his daughter run to her room with a soft smile on his lips. he looked down at the floor, licking his bottom lip. the man walked to his own bedroom, opening the door quietly to not disturb his sleeping girlfriend.
andrew sat on the edge of the bed, pushing a few strands of the woman's curls out of her sleeping face. adeline's eyes opened slowly, a smile growing on her features at the sight of the man. "baby."
andrew grinned, leaning down a pressing a kiss on her forehead. "hey, angel." he climbed into the bed next to her, pulling her into his chest. adeline listened to his heartbeat, finding it comforting. "katherine is coming over tonight. are the boys still here?"
adeline lifted her head, looking up at her boyfriend. "um, i know the jacks left earlier for some meeting. caleb and brandon are down there with nate and sammy unless they left while i was asleep."
andrew nodded in understanding, feeling adeline play with the curls that rested upon his head. adeline pressed a kiss on his cheek, then his nose, and then his forehead. andrew put his hands on the sides of her face, admiring her beauty for a moment. "you're so beautiful." a blush rose to adeline's cheeks at the compliment before andrew pressed his lips against hers.
"i'll get it!" zion yelled throughout the house as he went to open the front door.
"no!" rosalia squealed, running in front of the dread head. "i'm getting it." zion sent the child a confused look, rosalia letting out a sigh as she shook her head. "it's katherine."
"oh," zion nodded before a smile formed on his lips. "you two are cute."
rosalia sent him a dumbfounded look before turning around to open the door. "duh!"
rosalia opened the door, being met with the child that had clouded her head since the two met. katherine ran into rosalias arm, almost knocking her off her feet. "rose! i missed you."
"we just saw each other yesterday, silly." rosalia rolled her eyes playfully as she grabbed katherine's book bag off of her shoulder and put it on her own. "hey, edwin."
"hey, rosalia." edwin smiled. "is zion or brandon home?"
"z!" rosalia squealed, knowing he was just in the room next to the one she was in. "eggwin is here for you!"
"hey!" edwin exclaimed, watching the two girls giggled. "kat, you weren't supposed to tell anyone about that."
"sorry, bubba! i love you!" katherine said as rosalia took her hand in her own and ran off to her bedroom.
zion walked into the room, almost knocking into the two children. he watched the two run and slam rosalias door shut. zion shook his head slightly before walking to where edwin was standing. "hey, ed."
"hey. i was just going to ask if you wanted to hang out again sometime? since the new school year started, i never really see you or brandon."
"yeah, yeah. of course. actually," zion looked behind him before looking back to edwin's direction. "we're in the studio right now. i know you've been wanting to show me what you've got for a while." zion let out a soft laugh, seeing edwin nod.
"yeah, that'll be cool." edwin repeated the laugh that had left zions lips.
"good." zion said, turning to walk towards the studio. "follow me, eggwin!"
"zion!" edwin exclaimed, putting his face into his hands. he heard a laugh leave zions lips again, edwin just shaking his head and following after the dread head boy.
