"hey, kat." rosalia whispered, walking up behind the girl. katherine turned around, a frown on her features. rosalia furrowed her eyebrows, taking notice to the dried tears under katherine's eyes. "what's wrong?"

katherine hiccuped, a new set of tears forming in her eyes. "e—edwin forgot my birthday a—and so did my mama."

rosalia watched the girl cry with sad eyes before wrapping her arms around her. rosalia couldn't relate to her family ever forgetting her birthday, for her father's was a week after hers and they always celebrated together. plus, since she was the only kid, everyone always remembered. "i'm sorry, kat."

katherine continued to cry softly in rosalia's arms until rosalia pulled back, sending the child a smile before grabbing her present from her book bag.

"i got you this. i didn't forget and neither did my dad or adeline. i'm sorry they didn't remember, but someone did." rosalia spoke as katherine took the gift into her hands. "happy birthday, katherine."

katherine opened the gift slowly, her eyes widening at the sight of the necklace. "you got me—"

"on my charm bracelet you got me, the only thing missing is the sun. i have the stars and the moon, you have the sun. you get it? zion didn't because he's slow, but brandon did." rosalia cut the girl off, sending her a smile.

katherine studied the necklace, a soft smile forming on her features. "it's beautiful, rose. thank you."

rosalia looked around, making sure no student was watching them before she pressed a kiss to katherine's cheek. "always."

"i love you." andrew mumbled, leaning down and kissing adeline's forehead. "are you feeling better?"

"drew, i told you to stay away from me. i don't want to get you sick too." adeline whined, pulling the blanket over her head.

andrew shook his head slightly, letting a soft laugh pass his lips. "oh, come on baby. you know i'd catch every sickness out there as long as i get to be around you." he climbed into the bed, wrapping his arms around the girl.

"drewwwww." adeline tried to turn away from the man, but failed due to his grip on her. "i don't want to get you sick."

"it'll be okay." the two laid in silence after that, adeline listening to the constant sound of andrews heartbeat in her ear. his fingers went through her curls, adeline closing her eyes at the action.

"could you see yourself having another child?" adeline mumbled, feeling her heart race. she took the silence from the man as a bad sign, this causing her to sit up slightly. "i mean—"

"definitely. i just don't know what id name them." andrew grinned. "i got rose's name from my grandmother. i don't know what i'd name my child if i had another one. what about you?"

adeline let a breathe of relief leave her lips, laying her head back down on his chest. "when i was a kid, the only people who really gave me attention was my aunt and uncle, so i'd name my child after them. whether it be a girl or boy."

"what's their names?" andrew asked, feeling the girl play with the rings that rested on his fingers. it reminded him of rosalia, the child playing with his rings whenever she got nervous or bored.

"jocelyn and elijah." adeline replied, a smile forming on her lips at the thought of her aunt and uncle.

andrew kissed his girlfriends forehead, tightening the grip he had around her. "i love you, adeline. nothing will change that, okay?"

adeline lifted her head, sending the boy a smile before pressing her lips against his own. she felt her heart race like the day the two kissed for the first time, the butterflies from then never leaving the girl, even this far into their relationship. "i love you more, andrew."
