"daddy." rosalia playfully rolled her eyes as her father put the sunscreen on her face. "you've put it on four times already!"

andrew let out a chuckle, rubbing the sunscreen on her ear and neck. "i know, but i don't want you to get burned and then be in pain for the next few days. i'm taking precautions, princess."

"are uncle sammy and nate coming?"

"i don't know, maybe. why're you asking?" andrew hummed as he wiped his hands free of the sunscreen. he then moved behind her, starting to put her curls into a ponytail so they'd be out of her face throughout the day.

"i'm just wondering. i miss them." rosalia said softly. "they never really come over anymore since the—"

"i know, princess. they've just been busy lately." andrew cut her off, trying to keep the child from thinking about the accident. the man moved from behind her, bending down to her height in front of her. "i'll call them and ask, yeah? z and brandon are here though, along with adeline."

rosalia smiled at the mention of the three. "i like that they live with us now."

andrew mirrored the grin on his daughters features. "me too, rose."

"play would you mind !" rosalia squealed, letting out a series of giggles when zion started tickling her. "no! play open arms !"

brandon grinned at the child, connecting his phone to the speaker andrew had built into the back porch. "alright, alright."

the music started playing, but rosalia didn't recognize the song. she sent zion a confused look, the boy finding humor in the face. "it's a new song we wrote with edwin."

"what's it called?" rosalia asked, watching brandon come over to the two.

"summer on you." brandon answered for zion as he pushed his glasses up slightly. "do you like it?"

rosalia listened for a moment before she shrugged her shoulders. "eh, i like open arms more, but this is good too." zion let out a laugh at the bluntness of the child before he put his hand out towards her. "what?"

"wanna dance?"

adeline and andrew watched from inside the house as the three outside danced around the pool. andrew smiled softly to himself as he watched rosalia laugh along with the two boys. he just wanted his daughter to be happy.

adeline snuck glances at the man beside her, seeing him deep in thought. she gave his hand that was intertwined with her own a tight squeeze before laying her head on his shoulder.

"i love you." andrew mumbled, pressing a kiss on the top of her head.

"i love you more."

andrew let out a soft chuckle. "that's not possible, angel."

adeline rolled her eyes playfully, not replying to the man she'd learned to love and adore in time. "wanna join them?"

"is that your way of asking me to dance?" andrew teased, a grin on his lips.

adeline rolled her eyes again, pressing a kiss to andrews cheek before she walked out the back door towards the three. andrew watched rosalias face visibly brighten at the sight of the woman, making his heart warm. he watched brandon and zion try and show the two girls their dance to their song playing, but failing when rosalia just ended in a series of giggles. andrew shook his head slightly before turning on the colorful lights in the pool and making his way out the back door himself.
