Part 11: Flashback

Author's POV

"HONEYMOON?!!" The younger couple shouted in unison as their parents let out a loud laugh and nodded.

"Yes! Your dad and I planned this for you both and don't worry about work Jungkook, your appa handled it all and besides, it's only for a month-"

"A month?!" Jungkook shouted, cutting his mother off. He was beyond shocked. His mind was refusing to go with Jimin and spend a whole month alone with him but his heart said otherwise. Deep down, he felt slightly happy that he would be spending time with Jimin and maybe get to know him a little without Seoyun clinging on him and forcing him to go shopping. But, his mind, however, ignored and refused all the things his heart said or advised him.

"Yah c'mon Jungkook! He's your husband and the least you can do for him is to spend some alone time with him." Minho said wiggling his eyebrows at the furiously blushing Jimin who was looking down on the floor, embarrassed. For Jimin, it felt like a good opportunity to come close to Jungkook and maybe even make him realize all his wrongdoings but he knew Jungkook wouldn't approve too much closeness. In fact, Jimin felt that Jungkook hated him but his heart had a hope that he would someday change for the better. However, Jiyoo noticed Jimin's sad expression and Jungkook's angry expression. She felt something was off about the couple.

"Your plane is in a few day to Saipan to you guys can take you time to pack and Jungkook?" Jiyoo turned towards Jungkook while the later met his mother's eyes and hummed. "I need to talk to you. Seriously." She added as she went to Jungkook's room not knowing that the so-called happy couple didn't share the room. Jungkook reacted quickly and hurried to follow his mother who was by now sitting on his bed without noticing anything which was maybe a good sign for Jungkook. Once in, Jungkook slowly closed the door and looked up at his mother, standing to talk to him.

"Yes eomma? You wanted to talk?" He asked getting a little farther from Jiyoo to avoid any embarrassment and to make sure his secret remained a secret.

"Yes Jungkook. I feel something if off about your relation with Jimin." Jiyoo spoke crossing her arms over her chest. Jungkook's body tensed up hearing Jimin's name.

"U-Uhh... W-What do y-you mean eomma?" He said stuttering while Jiyoo kept a blank face.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about." With that Jungkook got even more scared.

'Did eomma got to know about me beating Jimin?'

'Did she got to know about Seoyun and I still dating?'

'Argh that slut! He must have obviously tell eomma about this. Now she's gonna lecture me.'

These thoughts clouded Jungkook's mind. He was scared of losing his parent's trust.

"Jungkook. I saw how you didn't seem happy about your honeymoon. I know you're not as close as you pretend to be with Jimin. I see all, Jungkook." Jiyoo calmly said and placed her hand on Jungkook's shoulder while the latter sighed in relief.

"I-I. Yes eomma. I feel stuck in this wedding. It was arranged, right?" Jungkook said as he kept his gaze low staring at the wooden floor, a hint of sadness in his voice.

"I know Jungkook." Jiyoo hugged her son tightly against her chest and guided him to sit on the soft mattress.
"But Jungkook, your appa and I chose Jimin for you for a reason not just because he's the son of the Park's, Jungkook. He's special. Haven't you seen his kind and gentle nature? It comes naturally. Without even realizing it. He's an angel. I believe he is the only one that can change you for the better." Jiyoo reassured plastering a bunny smile just like Jungkook's on her face while Jungkook blinked continuously. He did notice Jimin's kind behavior after all the wrongdoings he did but he couldn't forget the fact that he loved Seoyun. It was as if his mind loved Seoyun but his heart loved Jimin even though he wasn't completely sure of his sexuality. No matter how much his heart ached for Jimin, he had a girlfriend and had to give her attention also. A newly arrived third wheel can't make him forget Seoyun, his long love, right?
