Damien's POV
30 minutes passed and I still couldn't get my head straight after the ride and holding her close. I'm not a saint; I saw and hold a few pretty girls before at Ken's club but never one of them feel right in my arms, until I see her, hold her. Maybe it was her refusal, her shyness by avoiding eye contact makes me want to know her more through those doe eyes. She's a beauty especially when her cheeks turned rosy pink, painting her soft pale skin and fuck, she fit perfectly in my arm.
But she keeps her distance with me or anyone who invade her personal space, which is 2 feet in radius and I'm sure no one has ever held her as I did before which explain those blushes.
Currently, she's decorating the wall with little painting and stickers while I had to set up and cover the ABC mats the entire 7 feet room. The shelves for books and toys are already installed by the wall and the walls have been painted with soft blue and pink. Sirena had painted a few bubbles and seashells at the blue wall and then she stick a few fish stickers on them firstly at the middle to the bottom. Then she wanted to place this 3D jellyfish high up but with her shortness, she can't reach it.
She sighed and brushed her long wavy black hair back. She didn't tie it up as she works and even at school, she'll tie it loosely. If it gets in her way, she either brush it back or swing it to her right shoulder. I know she is not comfortable with her hair unloose while she worked but she still didn't tie them up like a normal girl would do. I stare at her, at that long midnight hair. Like she could feel my eyes on her, she looks at me and I raise an eyebrow. "Need a help?"
She look between the jelly fish and the spot that she couldn't reached. She sighed again, frustrated with her height before she nods in defeat. "Yes, please."
I chuckled and walked at her, reaching for the jellyfish. She really hate asking for help. Maybe she didn't want to feel like a burden to someone or maybe she wants to be more independent. I raise it up to the spot that she wanted easily. "Here?"
"Yes." She answered shortly and I stick the damn sticker on the wall. When I look back at her, she was holding a few more different fish and jellyfish, probably want these on the upper wall too. "You got some more fish to stick?" I couldn't help to chuckle at her. She wants to ask but still, her little ego wouldn't let her speak out loud.
She chew her inner cheek. "That if you-"
"It would be an honour." I grabbed the stickers from her, brushing her hand slightly and start peeling the first sticker before I raise it to stick it but I pause, waiting for her instruction. "Here?"
From looking at the sticker in my hand, she looks at me, almost surprised. "Erm, any way you want." She said yet it almost hear like a question.
"I suck at decorating so I need guidance."
Sirena chewed her bottom lip. "That one should be near the centre." She said softly as her pink checks stay pink and I'm halfway wanting to touch them. Now I sound like a flower boy.
For another 30 minutes, we decorated the walls and set up the kids table and stools. Sirena checked a few times for any possible danger or hazardous things and before she could check for the third time, my mom waltz in.
"Oh my god! This is beautiful. How can you make it so beautiful?" she beamed at the makeover of the room.
Sirena suddenly look panic a little. "Is it too much? I can-"
"No, no. This is perfect!" Mom grabbed her hands while her eyes roam around the room. Mom beam like a teenage girl if she see something she like. "I didn't remember buying the 3D jellyfish and seaweed."
"I er, kind of improvise them?" She look at my mom with worried and I can't help to notice fear in those eyes. Why would she be afraid is she over-decorate the room?
