Damien's POV

She fell asleep after a few minutes and finally, her body relax to the sleep. For whatever happened today, she is totally out of juice, mentally and physically and other than school and her part-time job at my mom's clinic, I wonder what else drain her energy. The party may be drained her too but that's the consequence of having a party in the middle of weekdays night. Yet I don't think it was her idea. She frowned and looked worry at school and barely focus. She look forward, staring blankly at the teacher while her mind is elsewhere.

I continue stare at her sleeping and silently admiring her black hair contrast with her almost snowy skin. Her eyelashes are naturally beautiful and her nose is slightly pointy. She's beautiful but she keeps her head low like she's something ugly. After admitting that I want to know more of her, twice, she tensed again, afraid of something that I don't know and I watch her play with her sleeves a few times anxiously. She's hiding something; a past, a memory and for that, she felt self conscious about her whole self.

My phone vibrates and I pulled it out slowly, didn't move too much because I didn't want her to wake up just yet. She's too tired and I could see it in those blank eyes. I answered my phone as quite as I can. "Kingsley."

"Hey, man. Where are you? I thought you'll be coming to the party." Jared asked through the phone with the background of people talking behind him.

"I was there. Got something to handle." And it was true. I was at the porch, heading towards the wide and luxury entrance when I saw a girl running from the side of the house. I knew it was her when I saw those wavy black hair and small frame so I pursuit after her.

"You okay, man?" Jared asks lightly. "How's the game?"

"He's pretty tough but I won." I admit, brushing my left side. There was a fight tonight and my opponent was someone from another town who wanted to challenge another town champion. He's pretty good, trained but lack of speed somehow and his strategy is to wait for opponents to act first which it sometimes gives a disadvantage to himself. "How's the party?"

"Well that's why I called, party's over. The cops came by and force to stop and go home. Luckily there's no drug or-what the fuck are you doing, James?! No you sick fuck! Where the hell is your fucking brain?" I heard James retorts about Jared being a mother hen and so on. Jared sighs. "Go and grab a clean drink in the kitchen, you idiot. Don't just snatch an abandon drink on the floor, thinking it was safe." There was another retorts from him but I didn't hear it well over the phone. "Sorry, man. James being stupid as ever."

"Maybe you're just being a mother." I chuckled. "Hey, are there any football player from our school wearing football jersey jacket?"

"Got to be more specific, man. There's plenty here."

"How many?"

"Four; Aaron, Slim, Tanner and Felix the pussy."

I chuckled again and something fall on my arm. I look down to see Sirena's head resting almost on my shoulder. At this close, I could smell her rosy shampoo on her black hair and I itch to feel it between my fingers. She curls up a little, maybe still too cold for her. "Hey, Jar. I'll catch you later." I said and end the call.

I didn't wake her up instantly. Instead, I scroll over my contact number and dial a clean service that I known.

"Hey, Damien. Didn't expect ya to call this night in particular but we're closing, man. Sorry." Rob said after he answered the phone.

I glance at my watch; it's 12.14 a.m already. Didn't feel the time went by just like that. "I'm sorry, Rob but this is kind of emergency. I'll pay you twice."
