Spyro: the journey home

Back to Earth

The balloon landed to Autumn Plains Avalar. Just where Spyro and Justin thought Ripto was. To their surprise, everything was quiet and peaceful like.

There was no sign of anything too sinister.

Justin looked around the trees and pool like pond. "What?" He cocked his head. "Huh?"

Spyro walked towards the stairs and went downstairs toward the ladders and spotted Elora the faun.

"Hi Spyro!" Elora said. She was his friend and ally. "Who's your friend?"

"Hey Elora. This is Justin." Spyro pointed to the yellow dragon boy and then back at Flora to ask, "You haven't seen Ripto anywhere have you?"

"No, I haven't. You got rid of Ripto... Don't you remember?"

Spyro looked puzzled. He was for sure Ripto was here. Somethings not right.

"I was having a wild goose chase." Spyro said to himself.

"I know where he is Spyro." Hunter the cheetah said from above them all. He was at the ladder top.

Spyro looked up to see Hunter, his best friend. "Whoa! Where'd you come from?"

Justin couldn't believe it. Hunter of all things was one of his favorite characters from Spyro's games next to Spyro! He was in awe.

"I just came from Scotch when I spotted Ripto... He said that he had a plan to bring a dragon here to stop you alongside some other guy. Spyro, he was going to get revenge!"

"Wait, that explains Justin!"

"Who's Justin?"

"Um... He means me. I must've been part of his plot. Ha! Too bad it backfired!"

Spyro nodded. "Where is he now?"

"He said that he was having other plans since his original plan backfired. He was going to take over some other place and become the new king. Somewhere called... Earth."

"What?! Oh heck no...! Wait, how?"

"What do you mean how? With his magic!"

Justin wanted to laugh at the idea. How cliche! Wait what?!

Justin was shocked to hear that a video game villain was off to take over the USA. What now?

"There isn't any magic found there!"

Justin quickly said, "That doesn't mean that he himself doesn't have magic!"

Spyro shook his head. "What are we going to do?"

Suddenly, a portal opened to Florida... It didn't look as familiar as it should.

"My home... Spyro, I have to go."

"Right, I will too. I don't want you to get torched by Ripto."

"Thanks Spyro!"

"Hey, what are allies and friends for right?"

"Good Luck Spyro." Elora said.

"Yeah, you'll need it." Hunter said.

Justin realized that what he said about magic must rang true to Spyro as well. He has magic no matter what. This has to be an easy battle right?

Justin held his breath and went through the portal alongside Spyro.

The two dragons quickly became... Human?

Spyro had on a purple shirt, jacket, and was wearing shorts. His hair was a blonde Mohawk. Spyro eyes weren't purple but blue and he was light skinned. Just to blend in with regular people.

Justin was like he was when he left. Wearing the same clothes as well. Dark skinned, green eyes, and looked around the same age as Spyro.

"I...am home!" Justin said.

Spyro was on his fours still looking around. "This is your home?"

"Yep! Awesome isn't it?"

"It's as hot as Scorch, but I'll get used to it."

Spyro started to walk on his fours but was caught by Justin.

"Umm... Here, we walk on our two's."

He got Spyro up to his two's and eventually Spyro got the hang of the two legs thing... And eventually, Justin's parents came out to see their son with another young boy.

"Justin! Where the heck have you been?!"

Justin turned around and saw his parents looking infuriated at first then relieved and full of tears. They finally found their son. They can get rid of the Lost and Found Papers.

Spyro looked at Justin as the boy met his parents after so long.

"It's been 9 weeks since you disappeared! Where have you been?" Justin's mom asked in a fuss.

Justin's dad looked at Spyro and said, "Were you the one that found him?"

"Uh, you can say that."

"What's your name?"

"My name's Spyro."

"Spyro? I didn't know you can have names like that. Huh, and whose your little friend?"

Spyro turned around and saw Sparx perched on his shoulder. He was a parrot!

"Sparx? Is that you?"

Sparx chirped.

"Both of you come in. There is a lot of explaining to do."

The family and Spyro went in the house for a chat.
