Kitty's POV

I stood there fuming. I couldn't believe he would do this again. I couldn't believe it

I was so angry at him. We would be having a talk when they get back. I was not weak, I knew I could do this, I could handle this one. I wanted to scream but instead I stood there grinding my teeth not even noticing Peter until he spoke up, so quietly

"Wanna play cards?"

Peter's POV

I walked over, to Kitty. She looked so hurt and angry. She was clenching and unclenching her jaw, I understood why. Her dad just excluded her from a mission for the second time in a row. I didn't know how to comfort her, or even if I should, but I didn't want to leave her alone. She was clearly hurting. I didn't even think before speaking. I just blurted out the first thing that came to mind

"wanna play cards?"

was that weird? oh god that was weird. omgomgomg no.

I calmed my thoughts when Kitty looked over at me. I gulped when I saw her face, the same angry/hurt expression resting over it like a veil.

Then it softened. She smiled at me. She shook her head and laughed

"Sure Peter"

I liked it when she said my name

We went to the kitchen. She pulled out a deck of cards from the drawer and set it on the counter in front of me. We talked and played the only game we both knew how to play, Gin. I didn't want to talk about what had just happened, in fear of upsetting her, but also cause I didn't want to talk about any of that. I wanted it to be a real conversation between..... friends

"Thats Gin" Kitty exclaimed when she placed down her cards

"You're cheating" I joked

"am not" she fired back

We laughed and put away the cards. I didn't know what to do now. I sat there watching her fiddle with her hair, deep in thought. I was worried she was thinking about her dad and was about to speak, but she did first

"Wanna go get food?" she said looking up at me

"yeah sure! is there any place we can walk to?" I asked

"oh we're not walking" She stood up and walked out beckoning for me to follow her. I did, not knowing what she was up to. We took an elevator down to the garage

"Whats your favourite restaurant?" she asked stepping out of the elevator and walking down the hallway

"Oh it'd probably be this sandwich shop in queens, Delmar's" I answered, starting to worry

She opened the door revealing a huge garage filled with all types of cool cars. She grabbed a pair of keys from the hooks and walked towards a dark red Mustang. She clicked the keys and stepped in the drivers side. I got in on the passengers side and stopped her before she started the car

"Kitty, are you sure its okay that you're taking your dad's car?"

"It's not my dad's car, it's Steve's" she stated before putting the key in and starting it up "don't worry he said I could use it whenever I want"

I sighed with relief

She started driving, I noticed, towards Queens

"where are we going?" I asked

"you said your favourite restaurant was a sandwich shop in Queens" Kitty smiled

"OH YES!"

She laughed and turned a corner. We were there in no time. Kitty pulled up and got out. I followed her. I pointed to the Delmar's across the street. She grabbed my hand and pulled me towards it. I thought I would faint from the contact with her.

We walked in and I ordered my usual for both of us, saying hi and catching up with my old friend behind the counter

"How's your aunt?" he asked as I handed him 10 dollars

I just shook my head and laughed

"Hey Kitty, as long as were here, I'd really like to stop in and say hi to my aunt" I said sheepishly, hoping she wouldn't find it weird

"Ohhh the one all the avengers thinks is hot?" she said catching me off guard and making my face turn red

"uh-uh, yes that would be her yeah" I said getting flustered. Kitty just laughed and let me lead the way. She looked cold and pulled her sweater leaves down with her hands. She ended up putting her arm through mine while my hands sat in my jacket pockets. I blushed even more, now that we were walking perfectly side by side. She started talking about how much she loves visiting Queens, and I listened, perfectly content with how this day was going

We ended up in my building's elevator, going up to my Aunt's apartment. I was nervous for Kitty to meet Aunt May, and praying she wouldn't embarrass me in front of the girl I liked

Kitty was adorable, asking questions about my aunt on the way up, still with her arm through mine and the other holding onto my bicep. She let go and straightened out her sweater when we got to the door, her hands resting at her sides. I knocked and waited for the familiar sound of Aunt May's foot steps towards the door. When she opened up she squealed with delight at seeing me. She hugged me and gestured for me to come inside

"AH you must be Kitty!" Aunt May exclaimed "I've heard a lot about you from Peter"

"May!" I quietly yelled, feeling my cheeks grow hot. Kitty giggled and held her hand out for May to shake

"Yes, hi its very nice to meet you" Kitty said extending her hand to shake May's

We sat down at the table and ate our sandwiches, while talking to Aunt May

This was the perfect day
