Peter's POV

"WHAATTTT????" I yelled

Okay a lot to process

my brain was spinning

I needed to see her. I walked into her room with Tony, Clint, and Steve right behind me. I looked at her. Laying in her bed looking battered and bruised. she was sleeping. I fought back tears and went to sit on her bed, keeping a little distance, aware of the fact that Mr. Stark was right there

Bruce stood up to address everyone

"Alright I know everyone wants to see Kitty, but we shouldn't be having an Avengers meeting in her room. Tony, Kitty's body temperature is still too low, we need to get it back up to normal levels. I have to suggest that someone is with her tonight"

Tony looked at Natascha who simply said "I have been with her the entire day, I have to get to sleep in my own bed" then flashed a look at me so quickly, I'm not even sure if she actually did

Tony looked at everyone around him, his eyes landing on me. He put his hands on his face and let out an exasperated sigh

"Peter, I say this only because I love my daughter and want to keep her alive. You have to sleep with her tonight"

My face grew so hot and red I was sure this was some kind of prank. I tried to say something but ended up just babbling out nonsense

"Okay so it's decided, if you cross any boundaries I will personally kill you" Mr. Stark stated and walked out along with everyone else except for Bruce. Natascha and Steve stopped to smirk at me, leaving me even more red than before

"Peter, you understand this is purely for Kitty's health right?" Bruce asked me, I looked over at her sleeping form and nodded "alright so you have to be here to make sure she doesn't roll over on her bad side and that her body temperature starts rising" I nodded again, and he left

Kitty woke up a few moments later wincing in pain as she tried to sit up

"Peter?" she asked, her voice weak

"Hey Kitty Cat, I thought we had a deal. You said you would stay safe" I laughed trying to lighten the mood. She smiled weakly and laughed quietly

"Bruce ordered me to sleep in here with you tonight" I saw her eyes go wide but then they relaxed and formed a smirk

"Well, doctor's orders I guess" she simply said

I went and grabbed a pair of pjs which just consisted of shorts and a t-shirt. When I came back, Kitty was sleeping peacefully. I tried to get into her bed as quietly as possible, but her eyes fluttered open as soon as I laid down. We faced each other, her green eyes staring into mine

"aren't you supposed to keep me warm?" she said scooching her body closer to mine. I blushed intensely and tried to slow my heart rate. I went with my instincts and wrapped my arms around her freezing body protectively

"hey Peter?" she said slowly

"yeah?"

"can I try something?"

My heart was about to leap out of my chest. I muttered a sure, trying to keep my voice from cracking. She softly lent up to my face and kissed my lips. I kissed her back, still softly to make sure I wouldn't hurt her. We pulled away, my arms still wrapped around her body. She smiled the prettiest smile I'd ever seen

"I'm feeling a lot warmer now" she said wrapping her arms around my body too and cuddling her head into my chest

"me too Kitty... me too"
