"shinso... what happened to me?"
"i'm sorry [last name]-chan, i... i didn't mean to," he backed away slowly from you, his eyes wide.
"didn't mean to what?" you moved toward his retreating body.
"stop! i don't want to hurt you!" he was avoiding even looking at you, eyes shut as he turned to run.
..
"what's happening?" you mumbled, looking to the crowd of people. you pushed through them, not caring as they mumbled curses and glared at you. you stood next to a male with scraggly green hair who looked to be around the same age as you. he was mumbling about whatever as you watched a battle between a villain and multiple heros. there was one trying to keep the audience at bay but you didn't care to learn who he was or listen to what he was yelling.
suddenly a female hero showed up, using some attack you didn't care to learn the name of. she was huge, towering over all of the citizens watching before she announced her debut as a new hero, going by mt. lady. she started answering questions from the press as you rolled your eyes.
"skin colored costumes are whorish and unbelievably tacky," you glared at her before turning around. you didn't care about the people who gasped at your language or hostility.
..
you stared out of the window closest to your seat, not listening to your teacher drone on about futures and career choices. you noticed shinso was doing the same and decided to spark up a conversation with him.
"you gonna try for u.a. still?"
"why wouldn't i?"
"because last time we talked about this was when we were six."
"maybe it's a sign." he almost showed a bit of interest.
"of what? that were not meant to talk about high school? we just do our own things and reconvene after summer to catch each other up?"
"well won't you have to train this summer?"
"doubting my strength?" you smirked and he could hear it in your voice.
"why don't you try and prove me wrong?" you flicked your fingers from the light fist, twisting your pointer and middle before turning your whole hand toward your body and uncrossing the two.
your quirk was to manipulate and move metals. you didn't care to learn about the science behind it, but it had something to do with increased iron in your bloodstream.
you manipulated the metals of the chair and desk, making the chair he was sitting in and desk his legs were propped on do a complete 180. his smile also contorted into a smirk.
"no using quirks in class, [last name]-san," your teacher sighed, knowing it was a feeble attempt to get you to stop.
"sure," you shrugged, looking back to shinso. you didn't feel the need to avoid eye contact, just being careful to not touch him.
"you're getting better at that," he examined your form. "only had to move your fingers and wrist?" you smiled, nodding at him. he gave you a nod of his own, "nice."
"that was just a warm up, too much metal to be a challenge."
"then lift me without touching me," he smirked. just the amount of iron in a normal person's body was fairly small, but not impossible to manipulate.
you smiled, this time preparing to use your whole hand this time, going through meaningless flexing with your left hand's fingers. shinso appreciated the dumb humor and looked on with a 'you're so dumb' expression.
