Thomas p.o.v

"Hey, darling. Wake up"

Alex groaned, shoving his face into his pillow.

"Ion wannnaa"

I chuckled. How could a grown man be so cute?

"Come on baby. We got class today."

He shot up, staring at me with wide eyes.

"T-thomas! Laurens is--I haven't been t--"

"I know."

I reached out to him and he grabbed my hands, allowing me to pull him up.

He hadn't been to class in the pass week, but, everyone has been worried about him. Especially a certain few.

"Mr. Washington, the sisters, Hercules, and Laf have all been waiting for you to return."

He looked up at me.

"What? They all left me though...L-laurens said-"

"I know what Laurens said, but that's what got me thinking. Laf is my cousin, and since Hercules is his boyfriend. I talk to them. A lot. They're not the type of people to just leave. So I talked to them and apparently, Laurens talked to them too."

Alex stared at me. When he finnaly spoke, it came out barely above a whisper.

"...what did he say to them?"

"That you didn't want to be friends with them, that...you were never really friends with them and all they ever did was drag you down."

"B-but, that's not true!"

"I know. I told them. Afterwards I went and told the sisters, and then Mr. Washington. You're never going to have to see Laurens again baby."

"What?"

"He's been beating you for what, the past few years? He going to jail. I'm not letting him hurt you anymore."

His eyes shot up and I could see the raw panic in them.

"No! Thomas he-- he's going to come back. He's gonna be mad! W-why would you do that??? Oh god he...he's gonna..."

I placed my hand on his shoulder and he flinched.

"Baby, trust me when I say he will never hurt you again. Okay?"

He was silent for a moment, but then he nodded.

"Okay..."

"Good. Now go on and get dressed or we'll be late."

>__Time Skip__<

"Alexander whateveryourmiddlenameis Hamilton! We're gonna be late, come oonn you friggin sloth!"

Alex rushed around the corner with a toothbrush in his mouth and his hair tucked in what could barely be described as a ponytail.

I sighed,

"Oh come here."

He smiled around around his tooth brush, walking over to me.

"Ank ou"

"Mhm"

I pulled his hair out of the ponytail it was in. Making a new one.

I always thought his hair looked better down, but we didn't have time the the hour long debate it would cause if I asked about it. So I didn't.

I let go of him and he rushed to the kitchen sink spitting out the tooth paste and rinsing his mouth with water.
