"Lady (Y/N)!" Thor thundered down the halls of the Avengers tower. You ignored him and kept walking. "Lady (Y/N)! Wait up!" Thor finally caught up with you and grabbed your shoulder.

"Let go of me Thor." You shrugged him off. "I don't want to talk about it." Continuing to walk, you heard him sigh. He tapped your shoulder again and you spun around and yelled at him. "I'm not talking about it to you or Steve or Bruce, I'm not going to talk about it ever!" Frustrated, you stormed down the hall and violently pressed the elevator buttons. Steve walked toward you and you groaned. As he was about to say something you held up your hand. "Steve, before you say anything, just don't say anything at all. If I hear one more word about it, I will tear every single person in this building apart limb from limb."

"I'm sorry (Y/N)." Steve mumbled before leaving you be.

You got in the elevator and hit the number for your floor that you shared with Natasha. As soon as the doors closed, you broke into tears. Shaking and sobbing, your legs seemed like they couldn't hold you up any longer and you crumpled to the floor. You held your knees to you chest and cried the rest of sixteen floors you had to pass up. When you finally got to your floor, you had wiped away your tears and were trying to look like you hadn't just cried out three gallons of tears.

You stepped out of the elevator, sniffling a little, relieved to find that Natasha wasn't there. You walked over to your room and flopped face first into the pillows. You wanted to scream until your throat throbbed and your lungs were weak, but you didn't. You felt as if your world had just been flipped upside down, thrown into a trash compactor, and then blown in every which way.

"Why me?" You whispered to yourself. "Why did he have to die?!" You grabbed your pillow and flung it across the room. It hit your mirror and it crashed to the ground, shattering into pieces. "What did I do wrong?!" You grabbed a lamp and tossed it out the window. "WHAT DID HE DO WRONG?!" You kicked over your nightstand before falling onto your knees. "He was just a kid. He was innocent!" You got up, but tripped and landed in the glass. It pierced your skin and tore your clothes up a little. You screamed and gently tried to pull the tiny shards out.

You heard someone knock on your door urgently. "(Y/N)? (Y/N), are you alright?" Worry was woven into Thor's voice.

"Go away!" You shrieked, getting up and stumbling into the bathroom.

Hearing you fall, Thor broke down your door. "(Y/N)!" He ran into the bathroom and knelt beside you, trying to help you sit up. "What happened? Why is there blood all over you?" He brushed a piece of hair out of your face.

"I'm fine." You snapped, pulling away from him. "Please leave."

"No, (Y/N), I will not leave until you talk to me." Thor's voice was soft. "Please? Why don't you tell me about your brother?" He shifted uneasily, not knowing what you would do.

"He was just eight. Innocent and happy. He didn't know how evil the world is. He told me every day-" You choked up. "He told me that he loved me. He said those three words every single day. I didn't appreciate them enough." You cried into Thor's shoulder. "I didn't know I'd be losing him!" Your body racked with sobs. "H-He didn't deserve to be murdered like that! He didn't deserve to die!" You gasped for air as you tried to stop crying.

After a moment of silence, Thor wrapped his arms around you. "I'm so sorry. I'm so, so sorry, (Y/N)." He stroked your (H/C) hair gently, soothingly. You curled up into a ball as Thor pulled glass out of your arms and legs. "Hold still Lady (Y/N)." You winced a little.

Blood began to flow more freely as the pieces were removed. Thor grabbed a towel and dabbed at the cuts. When he was finished, he picked you up bridal style and laid you on your bed. "Do you feel better now, Lady (Y/N)?" He sat down beside you.

You didn't answer him. He started to get up and leave, but you stopped him. "Wait." He turned to look at you, surprised. "Please....please don't go, Thor." His cheeks heated up at you saying his name. "Please?"

"I will not go if the Lady wishes me not to." He sat back down beside you. Your eyes met his.

There was a silence that spoke more than words could say. Thor leaned down and gently pressed his lips against yours. You looked at him and said, "I think I've fallen in love."

"As have I, Lady (Y/N). As have I."
