Why don't people listen to jazz?
Can't you hear yourself in the melodic hum,
The sweet murmur of the sax,
The wail of the trumpet?
Why don't you sway to the music?
Can't you feel yourself relax with the precise notes,
Each keystroke of the piano.
The melancholy of each verse?
Why won't you hum along to the rhythm?
Can't you feel your heart in time with the drums,
Every pulse lining up with yours,
As your soul longs for the music?
Why won't you let yourself go?
Can't you feel the dissonance in the harmony,
The resolution within the major minor key,
The happiness of your soul?
What do you mean when you say you don't like jazz music?
Isn't jazz a feeling?
