The path of a King wasn't going to be easy for even though Lucy was destined to become one and had the capabilities to become one, she was still but an average girl in all senses. She wasn't born to royalty but rather, merchants. But, the power she carried was not to be underestimated and she, who decided to depart on this path of hers, decided to do so because she wished to protect those important to her.
Now, history was beginning to change its course again. Dungeons, which were the places that the Djinns resided, were conquered to grant power to the chosen Kings of the Magis. But now, a new Dungeon had appeared. No, it wasn't a Dungeon; it was a Tower. Towers that could only be raised together by the four existing Magis.
Fiore~
Toma and Hisui had long been informed of the dungeon appearing in the center of Fiore and needless to say, many were eager to enter it for the greed of attaining the powers of a Djinn and the treasures within. However, the two were aware of the great dangers that laid in the dungeon. But, the power that laid ahead of them wasn't one to avert their eyes from. Having made preparations to enter it, they stood outside with several soldiers following them. Needless to say, the mages of Fiore had also been gathered but only those with the qualifications.
"So this is the rumored dungeon," Hisui looked up at it, gazing at its grandness with awe. She narrowed her eyes and turned around. "Has everyone gathered?"
"Not yet, Your Highness," Arcadios replied. "Fairy Tail has yet to arrive."
Hisui scowled. "Where are th-?"
But just as she was about to fetch some people to go get them, a voice spoke up from behind them. A voice that she and anyone else could recognize almost everywhere. That unmistakable arrogance and pride could only be heard from the voices of Fairy Tail members.
"And the main show is here," Natsu grinned.
"Quite a lot of people just for conquering a dungeon," Gray said, not at all thinking too highly of the structure before him.
"Indeed, Gray-sama," Juvia said. "Honestly, why bother sending so many useless people here?"
Wendy remained silent and averted her eyes, thinking the same thing. Though, from what she heard about dungeons, she wasn't really all that amazed after seeing the real thing.
"This seems like it'll be worth the fun," Erza grinned.
"Yes," Mirajane smiled. "Agreed."
"Not really all that much for a dungeon," Laxus eyed it. "But, it's a mission. Might as well finish it and get it over with."
Hisui narrowed her eyes at them, hating their despicable attitude.
"If you think so lowly of dungeons, I wonder if you think the same about dungeon capturers," she said, staring at them with her beaded viridescent eyes. "Such as Sinbad-sama or Kouen-sama or even Lucy-sama."
Upon hearing those three names, the Fairy Tail members immediately froze on the spot. They hadn't forgotten what had happened the time they had come and even now, they paled in horror. Never did they wish to see the two of them again and even Lucy, they had become slightly afraid of. But, their pride and confidence didn't allow them to show themselves as weaklings and so they stood tall, scoffing.
"Going against them is no big deal," Natsu said. "I bet Gildarts could easily handle them."
"I highly doubt it," Jura murmured underneath his breath.
The difference in abilities between a mage and a metal vessel was as clear as night and day. If anything, their powers could even exceed that of a dragon's if they wished to seriously fight. He shook his head in dismay, slightly irked at the fact that Fairy Tail never learned from their experiences.
