John was up at the break of dawn. He walked down to Sherlock's apartment and rapped lightly on the door.

When it opened, it wasn't Sherlock, but a boy with long hair.

"Hi." The long haired boy said.

"Uhh... Hi, John. My names John." He corrected himself.

"Sam." The long haired boy said.

Silence stretched between them.

"Is there something I can help you with?" Sam asked, slowly.

"Uh... Right, is Sherlock home?" John asked, fiddling with his fingers.

"He is, but he's asleep, and I was about to take a shower."

"Oh."

More silence.

"I'll come back later, then." John said, pointing backwards, towards his dorm.

"Yeah, yeah, that sounds good." Sam nodded.

John almost tripped over his own feet, which caused awkward chuckling between the two men.

Eventually, John was in his dorm, Sam in his. Cas had gone to talk to Dean, or something.

So John kicked back in front of the T.V., and began watching The Office.

Which was, ultimately, an amazing show.

Sherlock woke up later than he intended and immediately set to work.

Sam had taken a shower, then gone out. Sherlock imagined to talk to Gabe or Dean or Cas or something.

Mycroft texted that Greg had stopped by, which Sherlock ignored.

When Sam got back, he'd finished all of his homework and assignments and put them in his classes folder.

By this point, he'd also read way far ahead in the textbook and done research on what they were learning.

Of course, he already knew most of it.

Didn't stop it from being interesting enough to learn again.

"Oh!" Sam said, while they were reading. "John stopped by to ask for you, while you were sleeping. He said he'd come back later."

"Okay." Sherlock said, distractedly.

It took him a few moments to register what Sam said.

"Oh!" He yelled, kicking the textbook off of him and springing to his feet.

He raced into the hallway and down to 221A, before knocking on the door.

"Come in!" John called.

Sherlock entered and smiled a bit. He didn't even entirely notice Mary sitting there.

After Sam's shower, he decided to head over to Gabe's.

He knocked on the door, half expecting, for whatever reason, for Dean to be out.

However, it was Dean who opened the door.

"I'll go get Gabe." Dean snapped, coldly.

He stepped back and Sam saw Cas sitting on the bed.

Cas smiled and waved and Sam tried to pretend to not see.

Dean left the dorm, Gabe must have gone out.

A few minutes of silence passed, when the two of them came back.

"Samsquatch!" Gabe said, spreading his arms out.

"Hey, Gabe." Sam smiled.

Dean slipped past the two of them, and closed the door on Sam, before he could say anything.

"Wanna go out for lunch?" Sam asked, awkwardly.

"You mean... Like, a date?"

"Sure." Sam shrugged.

The two of them began walking towards the exit of the building when Gabe said something that made Sam's blood run cold.

"Dean and Cas told me what happened."

Sam stopped walking and looked down, "Oh."

"Dean explained to Cas that he doesn't want him cuddling with strangers, and Cas explained to Dean that you didn't realize they were soulmates."

A smile spread onto Sam's face. "Oh." There was a pause. "So... is Dean still... Like, mad at me?"

Gabe chuckled a bit and continued walking.

"No, I don't think so."
