My eyes were hastily opened as water trickled in my hair. I let out a gasp as the freezing water connected to my scalp. A small yelp coming out of my mouth as I sprang upwards. Dry curls of my cinnamon brown hair spreading over my shoulders and some curls going into the path of my eyesight.

I looked around hesitantly. Both of my hands going to my bare arms as I realized I was pretty wet. My legs were covered in slightly damp, navy blue leggings, and I had on a black and gold patterned t-shirt. The sleeves barely covering my shoulders– which were also wet.

Dirt was smeared over my hands, and I decided to call out. "H-Hello?" I winced as I stammered. But felt a bit panicked as my voice just echoed between the stone ledges surrounding the water.

Looking over the water, something was floating in it. My eyes flickered over it a few more times, curiosity getting the better of me as I dunked my hand in. I bit back a small scream and managed to snatch the card.

Pulling it out, I shook my hand off for a minute.

"Hazel Levesque..." I murmured, looking over the card. There was a picture (of who I assumed was me). I had golden eyes. I blushed and then got up. My bare feet touched the dirt below me. My large toe hitting against something lightly.

I stared ahead for a moment, scared to look down. Cautiously, I took a peak. "A... diamond?" I wondered aloud as I picked up the stone. As if on instinct, I shoved it in my pocket– tears stinging the back of my eyes.

"Hello?!" A voice screamed at me. I fiercely turned and my hands turned to fists. Someone was here, I wasn't sure if I was more relieved or scared.

"Over here!" I hollered back.

A thin boy appeared from behind one of the stone ledges. He wore a black shirt, and a sword was swung to his side.

"Hello?" His voice repeated.

"I'm Hazel." I took a step to him. He shuffled closer, his eyes gleaming with hesitation.

"Nico."
