Chapter 5/ We Cut Open a Present

Nico's POV

"Seabreeze!!!!!!!"I yelled . Jason had to pull me back since I ran over to the rose thicket which caused it to grow onto my arm.

"Nico, wait, we need to figure out how to get her out of there,"Jason said trying to calm me down.

"I know, we slash it open,"I said getting out of his grip.I grabbed my Stygian sword and started slashing the thicket open which only turned into a rose.Everybody started doing the same . Percy, Jason, and I had our swords drawn, Annabeth and Piper were cutting the petals off, Hazel had her spatha drawn and was cutting it vigorously, Leo was burning it, and of course Frank turned into a bear and slashed the flower repeatedly.

"Innocent fools, if you want to bear more burden, here."Aphrodite said.

Just then, we all heard  bloodcurdling scream.

"What are you doing to her!!?!!" now it was time for Percy to react.

"Nothing, more like, what is she doing to herself. "she answered.

"Tell us, you disgusting mother,"Piper said.

"That is now way to answer your mother,"Aphrodite bellowed.

After that moment,  everyone and everything was silent because we were trying to get Seabreeze out.

Another bloodcurdling scream.After that we got the last petal out and came to the bud.It was drenched in blood. Before anyone could react, I slashed it open, like opening up a present for Christmas, and out came Seabreeze.

She looked horrible. Her face had a cut on both of her cheeks, a bruise on her forehead, a gash on chin, on the arms she had cuts and slashes, she had a stab mark on her stomach, and both legs had stab marks except for the left foot which had a big gash on the knee.

"Nico, is that you,"she said before collapsing in my arms.

"Someone get all the senior Apollo campers here stat,"I ordered.

Everyone scrambled away except for Percy who came to me and Seabreeze and said something to me,"thank you Nico, promise me you'll protect her." I only nodded.
