Very quickly we all got very very bored. Anyone below fourth year had passed out, and the rest of us were getting quite close.
That's when Carolyn had a brilliant idea. "Hey! Why don't we play paranoia or something! It's getting dull in here and it'll be much more fun."
Anela nodded vigorously, "Oh my god, yes. Like I love that game so much, it's so fun."
"Okay, yeah, let's try it. Anything beats this drab, quiet time we're having right now." Maddie pointed out, yawning for emphisas.
"So... Who wants to start?" I asked, looking around the circle.
"No, no, no. We have to move around first to make it more interesting!" Anela clapped, she was a bit over excited about this game but I decided to ignore that. It was kind of cute.
"Okay, everyone heard that right?" I said, then we all got up and shuffled around. I ended up in between Lizzy (who would ask me a question) and Truce (who I'd ask a question).
"Okay, now. Who's starting?" Maddie said, leaning forward and putting her face in her hands.
"I will I guess?" Stef said, smiling at crowd. "Hey, my name is Stef and I am about to question this lovely lady named Carolyn."
Carolyn shook her head, "You don't need to introduce yourself, Stefani. Does everyone know how to play the game?"
There's a mumur of yes's, and then Carolyn sighed, "Fine, go ahead, Stefani."
Stef leaned over to whisper to Carolyn, who wrinkled her nose in obvious disgust. "Um, I guess... Brandon and Gabi." She shook her head, "Ew." B and I made eye contact from across the circle as the two youngins play rock, paper, scissors. He cocked a brow at me and I try to laugh silently as I can, I don't really suceed, but I laugh quietly.
Stefani won and laughed, "You wanna tell 'em, Linnie?"
Carolyn shook her head, but did anyways, "She asked me who I thought would... um, havesexfirst." She was very awkward at the mention of 'the deed' more so than most fourteen year olds... Odd. Maybe she was ace or something.
"Okay, next." Carolyn turned to Bailey, a smile on her face. It was less devious than Stefani's, which seemed about right for what I knew about the two. Stefani was sweet, but had a side that just wanted to troll her friends. Carolyn was a softer more emotional person, who seemed too afraid of making people dislike her to troll that much. Interesting.

What felt like several hours had passed when someone burst into the room- the headmaster. Headmaster McGonagall looked as frightened as the rest of us felt, "Thank Heavens, we found you all. The storm has ended, children. Please go to your dorms so that attendence can be taken."
I looked around the room to see if anyone was as confused as I was, but only Ben looked back at me. I stopped to talk to McGonagall when I reached her, "What time is it, Headmaster? How long did it storm? What... What happened?"
McGonagall sighed, "Listen, Ms. Tomes, it stormed for nearly fourteen hours. Everyone is exhausted and no one really knows, Gabi. Hogwarts is the safest place to be, we have no doubts about that."
I nodded, "Yes, of course Headmaster. Thank you." I sighed, going outside and frowning at Ben. "Fourteen hours. I can't believe that, it's insane. That seems excessive."
Ben frowned back, "It does... Go talk to Brandon before you go to the dorms please, you can hang out with me and Anela when you get back."
I sighed, shaking my head as I walked towards B. He smiled at me, "So, it seems... I mean, I... Listen, I was wondering if since you owe me, You'd like to study with me every week? Like for two hours or three hours? You're much better at transfiguration than I am and I'm much better at charms than you are, it's a win win..."
I nodded, trying to not let my mind wander at the thought of spending so much time a week with him, "I don't really have a choice, I kind of owe you." I smiled, "But that sounds nice to me. And hey B?"
"Yeah?"
I hugged him, getting on my tiptoes to put my arms around his shoulders, "Thanks for helping me out in there, it means a lot."
Brandon put his arms around my waist lightly, as if he was afraid to touch me (like I was sparking electricity or something), "You would've done it for me, Gabs. See you later, at the Astronomy tower?"
I nodded, "Yeah, see you then." I smiled all the way back to my dorm.
When I reached the dorm, Ben pulled me straight into a corner with him and Anela, and somehow Stefani & Carolyn. "So, we know something is up with this rain, right? Like seriously."
"Um, it's rain. Like I guess maybe but nature does weird things sometimes?" Carolyn offered, trying to calm everyone down a bit. To be fair this all escalated quickly and we did sound kind of crazy.
I sighed, shaking my head, "I would normally agree with you, Linnie, however McGonagall seemed very... off about it. She was so weird about it. It felt off."
Ben nodded, "Are we all on the same page here?"
"No??" Anela said, obviously very confused. I rolled my eyes, leaning over and whispering to Anela what we were all on about. Then she sighed, "Oh, yeah."
"So, library tomorrow morning. We'll see what we can find. And break!" I said, joking. "Go to your dorms please, I don't want you to get in trouble."
"Fine, fine, Mum." Stefani joked, rolling her eyes at me. A true teen. "Kidding, I am afraid of authority, I am off to Ravenclaw tower. See ya, come on Linnie."
"Bye, guys. See you tomorrow!" Carolyn smiled, waving as she followed Stef out of the dorm.
That escalated quickly.
"So, library meeting huh. About the rain. It's super weird and confusing." Someone said, approaching from behind me, "Room for one more?"
Anela blushed deeply, making Ben smirk. "Yeah, sure, more heads are always better, Steve." Steve Harrington, a boy in Ben and I's year who I didn't know well.
I turned and Steve nodded, "Cool, I'll be there then..." He walked off, clearly not really knowing how his weird pick up line type thing had worked out.
Anela gasped, still blushing, "A hot guy just winked at me and asked to go somewhere I'd be. This has never happened before."
I smirked, understanding Ben's response now. "Oh my God. We're so inviting him to more things from now on. You do know he's one of the beaters right?"
"You did not tell me that!"
"Oh well, now you know."
"Shit. I'm gonna embarass myself so much now!"
