Roxie licked my face. I groaned and checked my phone. Logan was coming over soon. "Shit." I mumbled. I rushed around the house and cleaned it up some. My hair went up into a ponytail. I was wearing sweatpants and a sweater. Roxie went outside to use the bathroom. The door bell rang. I opened the door, Joey stood there with the doggy door. A smile grew on my face. Joey pulled me into a hug and kissed my forehead. He came inside and started to work on the doggy door.
I sat down at the table. My cup of tea was in my hand. Roxie came inside and started to play with her toys. The doorbell rang. Joey looked back at the door. I got up and opened the door. Logan stood there and smiled. He ran his hand through his hair and looked at Roxie who sat between my legs. A small laugh appeared. I let Logan in. He started off by starting to train Roxie to use the bathroom inside or outside. My recipe book sat on the stand for it. I started to grab the ingredients I would need.
Joey got a beer out of the fridge and sat down on the stool. I looked over at him and smiled. "Good girl Roxie." Logan said for the other room. I took a sip of tea and started to cook.
"What is the occasion?" Joey asked.
"Well I am throwing a dinner party to announce the news." I said.
"I am gonna head out." Logan said.
"Okay, thank you." I said.
"Who is coming?" Joey asked.
"The gang, my family, Nick's family, Georgina." I said.
"She hot?" Joey asked.
"You will find out yourself." I said.
Rachel came into the house with groceries. She went home for a day to make sure everything was okay. Her baby bump was starting to show. Baby buddies. Rachel came into the kitchen and started to clean up. My hand went onto the counter. She helped with dinner. I went outside and made sure the weather was nice. Joey came out with a table cloth. The white table cloth went onto the table. We put plates and glasses on the table. Joey put bottles on the table.
Roxie ran out of the doggy door to go use the bathroom. She ran around and went back inside. Her little body laid on the carpet understand the living room table. I put up a gate so she wont get out. Her dog toys were in there. Puppy pads were in there as well. I went up to my room and got dressed. My red dress went onto my body. I slipped into heels and put in big hoops. The good scent of my perfume went onto my body. I put on a necklace and applied lipstick. My hair was straightened.
I walked downstairs. Heels clicked on the wooden floor. Joey looked at me. His mouth hung opened. Rachel shut his mouth as she covered hers. I smiled and made the napkins.
"Damn, I wish I would've snatch you up first." Joey said, before going to put the napkins on the table.
"You look like a hot momma." Rachel said.
"Good dress before I pop. And I need to show people that I am okay." I said.
"Red is your color." She said.
"I agree." I said.
"Did the police call you about who killed Nick?" Rachel asked.
"Not a word." I said, drinking tea.
"I should get ready. People should be arriving soon." Rachel said.
I made sure dinner looked and tasted good. A little song called Riptide appeared in my head. I started to sing it in the house as it echoed. Joey came in and smiled. The doorbell rang. I cleared my throat and walked to the door. "You are Isabella the Latina queen." I said to myself. I opened the door. A smile appeared on my face. Dad, Ethan and Samantha stood their. Their eyes scanned my body. "Welcome." I said with a smile. Ethan handed me the flowers. I took them into the kitchen and put them into water.
"You look like you moved on." Dad said.
"I didn't move on. I need to prove to myself that I am doing better." I said.
"You got a dog!" Samantha yelled.
"Her name is Roxie. Logan is helping me teach Roxie to listen so when the baby comes. she wont hurt the baby." I said.
"She is so adorable." Ethan said.
"Monica is gonna be here soon." Rachel said.
"Some hot girl is here." Joey said.
I walked to the door. My hair went behind my shoulders. A smile appeared on my face. I opened the door and saw Georgina. "Damn I might have to wife you up myself." Georgina said. I let her in and shook my head.
"Is that Georgina?" Dad asked.
"Mr. Carter is here. Hell now it is a party." Georgina said.
"This is Georgina." I said.
Georgina walked to the group of people already there. Rachel turned on the cute little lights out back. The gang showed up next then Nick's parents. We all went out to the table outside. Rachel passed around dinner. I pushed my hair back and passed around the food, after getting what I wanted.
"So if you didn't know, I am pregnant. I am going to keep the baby." I said.
"That's amazing." Jordan said.
"We are glad with your decision." Monica said.
We all hung out at the house for hours. Sharing stories and making memories. This is my family and I love them no matter what.
