A RIOT

IS A LANGUAGE

OF THE UNHEARD

-

hell.

people say it's a figment of your imagination.

some believe it's the absolute worst place that you could end up in once you die.

well they're wrong.

hell is one of the most wild and reckless places you'd ever step foot on. you can do whatever you want whenever you want and no one gives a damn. it's a place of freedom and uncontrolled people. there's no limit to what you can and cannot do. it's a free for all. there aren't any rules. there are no people around to tell you what to do or how to do something.

every night there's something that everyone is talking about the next day. everyone loves it. they enjoy the hyped up feeling you get once you've stepped foot through the gates.

the feeling just hits you and you become addicted. all you want to do it be wild and carefree.

and that is exactly what finn wolfhard did when he first walked through the big black gates of hell.

finn wolfhard wasn't the brightest guy, but he has his moments. many people admired him and girls wanted him. he was a heartthrob alright. sure, he had his eyes on a few girls, but all those girls were already taken.

soon enough, he got his own girl.

millie bobby brown.

he got the girl of his dreams. she was everything he never new he needed. they lasted quite some time. they started dating in their sophomore year of high school. they were together up until senior year.

they were partners in crime. the most rebellious couple you'd ever meet. next to sadie sink and caleb mclaughling of course. but, that's a story for another time.

finn and millie did everything together. everyone knew they were the trouble-makers of atlanta high, and you did not want to get in their way. the pair knew each other like the back of their hands, they shared anything and everything with each other.

life was great for them.

up until a tragic accident happened and finn ended up dead in the end.

millie was heart broken. she did not take the news easily, and she stayed cooped up in her room for weeks. she was angry that the world had decided that this was finn's fate. she hated everyone and she blamed everyone.

but, deep down she felt it was her fault.

it was her fault finn was dead.

and that small thought drove her over the edge.

she wasn't far from death either.

millie had come close to killing herself, but she didn't.

right when she was about to take her own life, she stopped. she stopped and thought. and she just sat there, on the bathroom floor, thinking. she thought long and hard.

is this what finn would have wanted?

would he have done the same thing if i died?

she knew the obvious answers to all of the questions that popped into her mind. truth be told, millie didn't want to die. she wanted to live longer than finn did. she wanted to get married and have children one day.

but could she ever do that without him?

millie was unsure of the answer to that. but, she didn't kill herself. she kept on going.
