THE DAY
YOU LEFT ME
AN ANGEL CRIED
-
sadie had calmed down.
sort of.
caleb brought her back to the house due to the fact that she was too nervous to be out in the 'open,' and he made sure she was asleep before he left to go back and help his friends.
they were still at the bottom of the stairs, all of them just sitting there, in deep thought.
millie had said something that was very irrelevant to what was happening, but it also made everyone think harder and wonder as well.
"do you ever wonder if any of us knew each other before we died? how we knew each other, or if we were in a relationship, or even if we hated each other? and our families... i wonder if they're doing ok. you know, with us b-being dead and all...." millie said, quietly.
"our memories are somewhere in hell." iris stated, not looking up at millie, but keeping her eyes on the ground.
"yes, what iris said is true. the original devil is the only one who has access to them. but, we're not allowed to talk about her." wyatt mumbled.
no one else spoke, they all just sat there in a comfortable, yet uncomfortable silence. they all had one thought on their minds, well, besides wondering who wrote that note, they were all thinking about their past lives and what they could remember. who they could remember.
-
back in hell, poor noah was in a state of shock.
malina was trying to get him to snap out of it so they could all get back to their house. "noah!! come on, we need to get back to the house!!" malina said with worry. noah didn't answer, he just sat there staring off into space. malina groaned and walked over to adrien who was staring at the note. "adrien!" she yelled, "w-what?" he said, startled. "can you come help me please?? this is impossible!" malina complained.
adrien rolled his eyes, walking over to noah and shoving him. "man, what the hell?!" noah said with a frustrated tone. "did you hear malina?? we need to go. now!" adrien said sternly, making noah scoff and walk off into the distance towards their house. "well at least he's going now." loren mumbled.
they all followed noah with annoyed expressions on their faces.
they needed to figure this out, and soon or else they were all going to loose their minds.
noah walked to the house, mumbling to himself. why them? just when they were beginning to be happy? why did this have to happen now??
he wondered if any of it was his fault.
maybe if he didn't die so soon then these people who were perfectly fine before he came would still be fine.
but no.
he just had to die.
"it's my fault." he whispered.
"all my fault."
-
an hour or so had passed since millie had brought up the topic of memories.
it had them all thinking.
"you know what you guys. i'm finding out memories. it's not fair that they get taken away from us after we die! they're our memories, we should be allowed to keep them!!" millie announced, getting up and walking towards the top of the stairs.
finns head flicked up, "millie no!" he shouted as he ran after her. he grabbed her by the waist and pulled her back. "let go of me finn!" she screamed, wiggling out of his grasp and walking back up the stairs. the raven haired boy grabbed millie's wrist, pulling her back again. "millie. don't." he said. she didn't turn around, instead she yanked her wrist back, holding it to her chest with a tremble. "don't you want to remember, finn? remember the life we once had. all of our memories and friends?" she turned around, showing her tear-stained face. "don't you want to know if we knew each other?" she whispered shakily.
finn didn't look her in the eyes, but instead he kept his eyes on the ground. "no. not if it means someone is going to get hurt."
"god, finn! how can you not want to know?! not even a little bit?" she yelled, choking on her tears. finn didn't answer. millie scoffed, "of course you don't." she mumbled. "and what the hell is that supposed to mean?!" he asked in a harsh tone, looking up and meeting eyes with millie's teary ones.
"it means that you never cared."
millie walked up the stairs, leaving finn in a state of shock.
she didn't care right now. she was determined to find all of her friends memories. even if it meant getting hurt in the process.
she just needed to know how she died, who the last person she saw was. who killed her. and when she found out, she was going to punish that person.
no matter what, she would find a way.
she had to.
