YOU'RE A

WORLD AWAY

SOMEWHERE

IN THE CROWD

-

it had been a few hours since gaten, lilia, and maddie had died.

everyone was having a hard time explaining to them what was going on. noah tried at first, but he just made it sound more confusing than it actually was. loren gave it a shot, making it very clear to them about the situation. gaten freaked out a little bit, maddie was silent, and lilia was pacing back and forth, trying to come up with a way that this could be possible.

but none of the things that she was saying made sense or could even be remotely possible.

at least they thought so, none of them really even knew how this could occur at all, not even malina.

and malina knew everything about heaven and hell.

even the things she wasn't supposed to know. but, she had her ways.

"can you stop pacing please lilia!" noah snapped, surprising the blonde. noah's face turned a little red, "oh my god. i'm so sorry i didn't mean that." noah said. "i'm just so stressed." he mumbled.

lilia's face softened, taking a seat next to noah. she put a hand on his shoulder, trying to comfort him. "it's ok to be stressed, the best way to cope with it is breathing exercises. those have always helped me." she said. noah cracked a smile, nodding.

meanwhile, malina was in her room, searching through her jounral of findings from her time being in heaven.

and hell.

"how all the original devils kill devils.... no, how heaven and hell were created.... no! when the original angel turned bad... no! no! no! no!" she said, slamming the book on her desk.

"i swear to god i had it in here.." she mumbled, grasping chunks of hair in her hands and scratching her head.

she flipped through it once more. she was going fast, but something caught her eye.

"wait a second..." she flipped a few pages back, "there's a missing page!" she yelled, gasping after.

"shit!!" she yelled, stomping out of her room and door, "mali! where are you going??" adrien called, "anywhere but here!" she said, starting to run.

-

sadie got up, walking over to caleb. she whispered something in his ear, then looking up at him with a worried expression. "maybe... i dont know." he said. sadie brought her hands up to her mouth and started to bite her nails, a nervous habit that started at the age of 6. "i mean, i hope." caleb added, sadie nodded.

millie took a seat on the couch next to finn, surprising the curly haired boy who was writing in a jounral. he decided not to say anything, not wanting her to change her mind. she did sit particularly close to finn, which surprised him even more.

he focused his attention back to his notebook, only to feel a chin on his head moments later. he turned his head to meet eyes with millie, who was already looking at him.

she didn't say anything, confusing finn. instead, she looked down at his journal, where he was drawing something. she smiled a little, realizing it was herself.

finn smiled too, continuing to draw in some minor details.

a few minutes passed, and millie took her head off of finn's shoulder, walking off into her room.

finn sighed, finishing some last touches to the drawing and then going to millie's room. "knock knock." he said.

millie looked up, rolling her eyes. "what do you want?" she asked. "to talk." finn said, walking over and taking a seat next to millie on her bed.

"about what?" she said, pretending not to know what finn was wanting to talk about. "mills, you know what." he said with a stern tone. the brunette turned her head towards finn, "maybe i do." she said, annoying finn the slightest bit.

he took a deep breath. "look, i just wanted to say i'm sorry about what i said. i wasn't thinking when i said it, and i realize that it hurt you." he said sympathetically. millie sighed. "yeah. it did hurt me finn." she said, her voice trembling the smallest bit.

"why wouldn't you want to know if i was in your past life? how do you think it would feel if i said that i didn't want to know if you were in mine?" she asked, looking up at finn with glassy eyes.

"i was scared." he whispered. "scared?!" millie repeated, "why would you be scared to see if i was in your past life??" millie asked, growing angrier. "you wouldn't understand, millie." he spat.

she scoffed. "oh really? try me." she said, finn looking up with cold eyes.

"i have all day."

-

malina had been walking and walking, trying to find places where he could've hidden the page.

she knew he had it. somewhere in hell, she searched everyone corner, every store, every alleyway, every empty and abandoned home, until she gave up.

"ok!!! i give up!" she yelled, sitting on the floor.

a raspy voice started to speak, "you've looked all places. but one." he said.

"why are you doing this to me?? what did i ever do to you??" she yelled, a tear spilling from her eye. "would you really like me to inform you on what you've done in the past before these two worlds collided? the people you hurt, the places you destroyed?" the voice asked, malina shook her head.

"you wouldn't."

"oh, but i would."

"you promised you would never!!!" she shouted, standing up from the ground and lookin around to find where the voice was coming from.

"not all promises are meant to be kept."
