"Just Friends."

We finally got to the pizza joint, well it wasnt a long drive but im starving so it seemed like forever. We all ordered 2 slices of pepperoni pizza and ate it pretty fast. "Slow down Jess your going to get a tummy ache!" Steve said laughing. I roled my eyes playfully and continued to stuff my face with pizza. "Hey im going to grab a coke you guys want anything?" Soda asked while cleaning his face off. "Sure we'll have one." Steve said. Finally alone with Steve even though were just friends its nice to talk to him with no one with us. "So Jess want to play truth or dare?" Steve said. "Uhm sure, you go first." I said kind of freaked out on what hes going to ask me. "Truth or dare?" He said. "Truth!" I said with a smile on my face. "Uh who do you like?" He said. Oh no i dont want to ruin our friendship but i want to tell him so badley. "Oh no one at the moment." I said blushing a little. "Sure but anyways your turn." He said while smiling. He just had the cutest smile ever and the prettiest eyes. "Okay truth or dare?" I said. "Truth!" He said loudly. "Whats your favorite food?" I asked even though i new the answer. "Chocolate cake duh!" He said with a smirk on his face. I laughed and then Soda came to the car and handed us our cokes. While we were still drinking them Soda said "you guys want to go over to my house?""Yeah i want to go i havent seen the gang in awhile!" I said excitingly. "Yeah sure I'll go, I want some cake anyways." Steve said while he started the car. The car ride was short and was filled with jokes and laughter. We finally got to the Curtis house and when we walked in sure enough the whole wang was there. "Hey guys!" Ponyboy said while coming to give me a hug. "Hey Pony, what are you guys doing?" I said looking around. "Oh nothing were just watching Mickey Mouse and talking." Pony said."Oh cool mind if I join?" I said taking a seat on the couch. I was sitting in between Dally and Johnny. "Hey is there any chocolate cake?" Steve said. "No Two-bit ate the last slice." Dally said laughing a little. "Oh my gosh I've been craving cake scince i woke up!" Steve said with a frown. "Jess will you please help me make another cake?" Steve said. "Sure ill help you." I said getting up to go to the kitchen. "Okay so lets start cooking!" Steve said with a grin on his face.After we were done and finally put the cake in the oven we sat down on the couch. There was some kind of scarey movie on tv witch gave me an excuse to cuddle up to Steve. He didnt mind though, he knew I was scared and put his arm around me. Witch was amazing. All of a sudden there was a ding and the cake was done. "Yes! The cakes finally done." Steve said while heading over to the kitchen. A few minutes later he came out with a piece of cake in his hand and chocolate all over his face. I laughed and had a big smile on my face. About thirty minutes later i decided i should probably go home since my parents were probably wondering were i was. "Well im going to head home, its almost 9:00 and i should get some sleep." I said. "Hey Jess wait ill give you a ride." Steve said while cleaning his face off. We jumped in the car and he dropped me off. He said our goodbyes and he gave me a hug. As i walked in the door i went staight to the bathroom and got ready for bed. When i was finally done I layed down. I was determined to tell Steve my feelings for him tomorrow. I just wanted him to know that i liked him more than a friend and wondered if he liked me the same way i liked him. With all these thoughts in my head I smiled and slowly dosed off into a deep sleep dreaming about tomorrow.
