Oh No

I don't know why, but for some reason I'm lying here, in pain. I don't know what happened and I don't know who this person holding my hand is.

"S-Shannon what do you mean, it's me C-Cari" She says sobbing, completely wetting her shirt. Her grey, Budweiser logo shirt now turning a dark grey.

"I'm sorry, I don't know-..."

"Shannon hi I'm doctor Stevens, may I speak to you for a moment?"

Too much is happening at once. I feel my heart starting to race like its about to explode. I take a deep breath and clutch my free hand on the bed, letting go of the stranger holding my other.

"Uh, sure. May I ask who this is crying next to me"?

Right when those words came out of my mouth the girl stood up with an empty, cold face, rushing out of the room weeping.

"Shannon you don't know who that is, that's your wife, Cari Fletcher" The doc says.

That name clicks but not completely. I don't remember much but wait....MY WIFE???? I look at my hand and there it is. A beautiful ring shining in the light. I start turning my finger examining it more. A wife huh, wow I don't remember anything do I. But that name, I've heard it somewhere, but where.

"Shannon, are you okay"

A hand nudges my left arm, startling me.

"What"? I ask

"Shannon can I ask you if you remember anything from earlier. If not I will inform you of what happened or what we know".

I stare at him as he's just sitting there, quietly waiting for my response. I start to look around thinking of what happened. All I remember is leaving the beach when my phone fell and when I went to pick it up, everything went black. Now I'm here just laying down with a....WOAH I got a cast on my leg. That thought just plays through my head I feel a sharp pain in my leg and I start feeling nervous.

Beep..Beep..Beep..Beep..Beep..Beep

My heart was rapidly racing, and I can't calm myself down.

"Shannon.... Shannon.... Are you okay, Shannon talk to me" he says shaking my left arm.

I take a couple of deep breaths and I start to simmer down as I hear:

Beep............ Beep.......... Beep.......

A steady sound that pleases my ears.

"Yes im okay sorry, I don't remember what happened but what I do is when leaving the beach, my phone fell and when I bent down to get it I heard a loud beep and now I'm here." I say while squinting my face due to the unknown pain.

"Well Shannon, when you got rushed in here I saw you leg was badly injured and you were unconscious. We rushed you to the emergency room where they operated on you and from x-rays we found from the impact of the other car, you broke your leg. I guess when you bent down to get your phone you ran a red light and a car turning from the left direction smashed right into you, completely murdering your car. But thankfully you don't have life threatening injuries. I see you can't remember much, which means you must have injured your head as well which causes memory loss, but with time we can get that back like new.

Did this doctor just say I broke my leg. Oh my god...." ahhh" comes from my mouth as I try to move my right leg. No wonder I can't remember anything. Cari, Cari Fletcher...... My thoughts trail off. I want so bad to know who she is or at least remember something from her. I look down at my ring and then it clicks.....my wife. I start processing it all through my head that I'm engaged. I look over to the doc who is checking out paperwork on the counter.

"Hey Dr. Stevens, can you bring Cari back in here." If she's still even here.

He turns around and gives me a sort of surprising look. Then the walks out the door and there she is. Her eyes are swollen from all the tears and her face is burning red. She clasps her fists and walks over still crying. She sits down next to my bed and slowly calms down, you can see her taking deeps breaths. There is silence for a good couple of minutes. She wipes her eyes, glancing at the floor and mumbles something.

"Cari." I broke the silence "I'm so sorry, I don't remember much but from what I can remember is you're my fiance."

She starts the tears again and raises her hand over her mouth, not letting me hear her sobs.

"Cari stop crying please, I-I still love you." I hesitate. Then I turn my upper body towards her reaching out my hand holding hers. She looks up from the floor and to me. I can see the pain fill her beautiful eyes. Her curly blonde hair just sits there seeking my eyes. I smile and give her a warming look. Seeing the small smile creeping onto her beautiful face I say...

"I-I.... Love you Cari please stop crying, I will get better I promise. But you have to promise me that you will stay." I grip her hand tighter and bring it up to my lips, kissing the back of her hand lightly.

"Babe I won't leave, I promise, but it just makes me so mad..." She lets go of my hand and stands fiercely, pushing the chair away from her legs. Walking over to the end of my bed she starts ranting....

"WHY DID THIS HAVE TO HAPPEN TO YOU, WHY COULDN'T THE STUPID PERSON JUST GO AROUND YOU. IT'S NOT FAIR AND NOW YOU'RE LYING HERE NOT KNOWING WHO I AM WHILE I CANT DO ANYTHING ABOUT IT. NOW WE CANT EVEN GET MARRIED BECAUSE YOU FUCKING DON'T KNOW WHO I AM. FUCK ALL OF THIS."

She started waving her hands everywhere. She's so mad and so am I because I can't do anything about it and she's right, I don't remember her or anything really. Then im guessing because of her screaming, the doctor comes in trying to calm her down. I wish I knew if Cari has gotten this mad before because holy smokes she is wild right now. Then that's when it strikes me. Cari yells at the doctor and when the doc grabs her arm to get her out of the room, Cari takes her other hand and pushes her away making her fall backwards. Following her action Cari rushes out of the room with her face bright red and tears, many tears all over her face.

"Oh no..."

Sorry this is short, I wanted to just update because so much has happened recently and I've been very busy with school. Comment and let me know if I should add anything or simmer something down, any advise helps!!!! I hope you liked it though so give it a vote :D
