Burnt Toast

March 30th
9 am
Shannon POV

I'm already awake in the kitchen cooking breakfast for my fiance. I cant believe im here right now, I feel like i dont deserve any of this. I have a beautiful fiance that i'm soon going to marry and I fucked up too many times. Im such an idiot i swear. Ugh.
I forgot about the toast and whoops, its now burnt.
"Fuck".
Now there's a horrible smell in the kitchen that will probably wake Cari up soon, great. I head over the cabinet and grab out a cup to put Blue's food in his bowl. No i didn't forget about our dog.
After I feed blue I go to our room to check on Cari. I walk down the hallway and I can hear her snoring, she's adorable I swear. I end up at our door peeking in and she's sound asleep, perfect.
I rush back down the hallway to the kitchen counter and grab my keys, trying to be as silent as possible. I open the door and take a deep breath, inhaling the nice cold air.
This weather is really putting a tole on me. I bet that if it was summer I would be in such a better mood. Freaking cold weather.
I open the car door and carefully get in, making sure my boot won't bend. Thank goodness I get this boot off tomorrow, I feel like a crippled old lady in this thing. Like imagine your whole life with a huge boot running halfway up your leg, tragic.
10 minutes later
I arrive at the market, just going to pick up a couple things. I go to the desert section and look at all the muffins... oooooooo chocolate chip. I grab two packages and realize the other one I grab is banana.... GROSS!! I put the package down and look for another chocolate chip.
"Here we go".
"And then... she just ran out of nowhere and scared me... babe she scared me".
This voice... it sounds quite familiar... hmmm. I peak around the corner and spot Cammie walking with Kara talking about something, perfect.
I try to hide so I grab my cart and the muffins, of course, and try to go down another isle...
"Shannon!!" I hear behind me. Yay.
I turn around with a smile on my face, trying to be nice. "Hey Cam, and Kara, how are you two?"
"I'm great, just shopping with Kara here, we just moved into a new house in California, thought we should go alittle home shopping, isn't that right babe?" Cammie looks at Kara with a warming smile, yet the reaction Kara is giving isn't what is expected. She's standing there giving me a look. I just smile. I start rubbing my thumbs against the cart.
"Sounds great Cammie, well I'll leave you two be I have to get home and cook for Cari, she's hungry". I grab the cart and start strolling off..."you better get home and feed her so she won't get mad... again". Kara says as I walk away. Fucking bitch.
20 minutes later
I walk in the house and drop the keys on the table, releasing the bags from my wrist. I check around to see if Cari is awake, hoping she isn't. I peer around the hall and hear her snoring, oh goodness babe. I head back to the kitchen and pull out a pan, placing it on the stove. I grab out the eggs from the bag and the pancake mix. I crack a couple eggs and start cooking.
A couple minutes later and the pancakes are done... so I place them on a plate along with the eggs I made. I go to the bags and take everything else out, muffins, orange juice, bread, pasta, sause, cheese. Hmmm I should of tooken these out sooner. Whoops.
I finish doing everything and I grab the plate with the cup of orange juice and head towards our room. Of course blue is following me.
"Blue stop being fat, go lay down".
I arrive at our door and I Nudge the door with my hip, opening it. I go over to our side table and place everything down, very softly so I don't wake my princess up. I jump on the bed and go on top of Cari, leaning down to her cheek. I leave multiple kisses leading to her neck as she's scrunching up while waking up. "Babyyyyyy wake uppppppppppp".
"Hmm". She whines
"Baby I made you breakfast, wake up before it gets cold baby."
She strikes up and rubs her eyes, squinting at the sunlight coming through the window.
"Good morning princess". She finally wakes up.
"Good morning Shanbee, where's the food I'm hungry." "It's right here, let me get it for you". I reach over grabbing the juice and plate handing it to her.
"Thank you my love".
"Your welcome princess, I love you".
"I love you too Shanbee".
I go next to her and lay down turning Netflix on, "what do you want to watch?"
"Let's watch something gay... OOOOO THE LION KING". "That's not gay but okay haha, whatever you say crazy".
Cari finishes her food and she comes over a slight, cuddling into me.
"Babe I love you so much".
"I love you too Shanbee, but what are you doing".
"What do you mean?"
"Babe, you just made me breakfast, which was actually pretty good knowing the last time you almost burnt the house down. And your being really nice".
"Okay first of all I'm sorry the toast cooked too fast, and second, I want to make you happy. I realized that I havnt been a good person lately and all I want to do is make you happy and live an amazing life with you, and only you". I start tearing up.
"Hey baby look at me". She lifts me head up with her fingers. "All I want is you baby, and yea you made some mistakes but that's the past and we learn from the past and become better humans. I only want you baby and I want to marry you and I'm already happy as it Is, for god sakes you just made me breakfast without burning anything. So let's just watch this gay ass lion king, and live in the moment." She goes back down to cuddle into me, wrapping her arm into my waist.
"Thank you baby, I love you to the moon and back". And with that we watched the "gay" lion king that my beautiful fiancé wants to watch.
