A L I Y A H
Queen"Bae. Liyah. Lili." My eyes popped open to see that Kentrell was dead in my face.
"What?" I asked very monotonously, not moving.
"Is it time for you to feed Ariel yet?" He asked, glancing over at the clear bassinet on my bedside.
"No. She just ate like 15 minutes ago. She is asleep. Please let me sleep. If she wakes up and gets hungry, feed her some formula—you know this Kentrell." I remained expressionless as he nodded and stood up straight.
"My bad, I'm trippin." He mumbled as he walked out of my sight. I had Ariel Khelani at around three last night.
Every thing went smoothly, it was just tiring trying to stay up while all those people were visiting me. It wasn't even the baby that had me exhausted. Two minutes later, he tapped me again. I opened my eyes and looked up at him.
He had a guilty look on his face as he looked down at me. I sat up, accepting the back that I just wouldn't have sleep.
"Yeah?"
"I don't know where the milk is. I promise I'll leave you alone after this." I pointed to the milk and kind of scooted back down into the bed, getting as comfortable as I could and shutting my eyes.

Youngboy"Ion know, mama!" I mugged the phone as I looked at the baby asleep. She kept calling me saying an unknown number kept calling through the day threatening her and Kendell. Nobody else.
"Well, you need to find out!" She mugged me back. I just nodded and sighed. She sighed with me and shook her head. "How my grand baby?" She asked as she laid her head on her hand.
"She good. Aliyah good too." I told her. She looked like she wanted to add on, but she just nodded.
"Want me to come up there?"
"No." I said quickly, "This the first time Liyah been sleep. I want it to be quiet." I followed up, making her nod.
"Well, I'll call ya later."
"Aight ma." I hung up and sat the phone in my lap, sighing. I looked between the bassinet and Aliyah as I slipped my pinky ring on and off. I looked down at the floor, thinking about how my life will never be normal, and neither will theirs. Them and the rest of my kids deserve to have normal lives, but imma always fuck that up.
I was pulled out of my thoughts by a muffled yell, like somebody was laughing. I looked at the door, then at Aliyah and jumped up. I practically ran to the door to get out of it. Gang nem was walking down the hall making hella noise.
"Aye! Aye! Shhhhh!" I whisper-yelled as they approached. Ben had a gift bag in his hand, Boomer had a white teddy bear tucked under his arm with 3 beside him, who was holding a seat I asked him to bring. Kd was in the back of their commotion, holding some balloons in one hand, and Arianna in the other.
"My fault." Boomer apologizes as Ben quieted down.
"Congratulations man, you on ya tenth ain't ya?" Three joked, making me chuckle.
"Mane, you a hoe." I said, letting them in. "How you feelin, Kell?" I asked Kd.
"Shid, I'm straight." He shrugged as he sat down. "I just be outta breath like a fat bitch sometimes." I snickered and shook my head because he was dead serious.
"Say, y'all find out who been callin' my mama and shit?" I asked, walking over to the bassinet and scooping Ariel out.
"Shit nah, they usin a burner cell." Three shrugged.
"And it's different with every call. This ain't no lil broke boa I know that." I nodded, agreeing with Boomer as I walked over to the chair.
"You must be nervous?" Somebody asked.
"When am I ever nervous?" I asked, trying to cover up the fact that I was.
"Now." Kd deadpans, making them laugh.
"Shut up." I tell him. "Look Ari. Look at Ariel." Kd supposed her weight as she leaned up and looked at her face. She leaned down and put a slobbery kiss on the baby's head.
"Awwww, look at the lil hater being friendly." Ben cooed. For some reason, Arianna really don't fuck with Ben and it's hilarious. It looked like she rolled her eyes as she got back comfortable in Kd's lap again.
"Think I'm finna move though. I gotta get outta hea." They agreed with me. "Issa target on our backs. We gotta get the hell on. No pussy shit."
"Soon. Where you headed?"
"Ion know. Probably LA, 'Lanta, some shit like that." I looked down at my daughters, biting the inside of my cheek.
I can't let them be a target just because I'm scared to start over. I gotta get outta here.
