Queen

"Girl, it's yo off day." Kentrell mugged me as I pulled out a white T-shirt.

"I know, something telling me to go over there." I shrugged, picking up another shirt. "Awww, look." I poke my lip out and show Kentrell the shirt he bought that had a picture of me, him, and Ari on it.

"You need to relax." He said, pinching my cheek.

"Stop—I'll be back in a minute." I say, slipping the white shirt on. I grab my phone and go out of the bedroom door, but pop back in.

"And where are you going?"

"Stu." He mumbled and I looked him up and down.

"Why yo dirty ass getting all dressed up?"

"This how I dress." He mugged me back.

"Hmph."

"Give it back." He said, holding one hand out and running the other down his face.

"What?"

"My dick."

"You are so lame." I roll my eyes, going back towards the door.

"Hmph." He copied me and I shot him a bird. "Love you too."

"Bye!" I call out as I shut the front door. Something's been telling me to go to this lady's house all damn day, so I called her and asked if I could stop by to check on her. I hope she's ok.

When I got there, the feeling in the pit of my stomach only got worse. It didn't help that I hated this neighborhood. Niggas weird as hell out here. When I finally got to her door, it took her a lil minute to come and open it.

"Hey, Aliyah." She smiled, stepping back so I can come in. "You doing okay?"

"Yes ma'am. You?"

"Never better. Chile, I'm here." She chuckled. I was about to say something, but got cut off by a baby whining, but stopping quickly. I raised an eyebrow and Ms. Shirley laughed.

"My granddaughter back there with my great grand babies. She'll probably be out in a minute." I nodded as she went to open her fridge. "You want something to drink?"

"No ma'am, I'm okay." I tell her. We get to talking about everything and anything when her granddaughter comes from the back.

"Finally got her to sleep. You must be Aliyah?" The light skinned girl smiled and stuck her hand out for me to shake. I took it and smiled back, nodding. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Patricia." I raised an eyebrow because she was acting kinda hyper.

"She take medicine. She sweet, though." Ms. Shirley mumbled in my ear as she walked by and I made and 'Oh!' face.

"Nice to meet you t—"

"Oh, you're pregnant? How far along are you? Do you know what your having?"

"22 weeks, and I'm having a girl." I tell her.

"Are you excited? When I had my daughter I was so nervous. If you need any help, you can count on me!" She smiled warmly.
