Beth felt the bass of the music fade as she helped Tommy to Joel's truck.

"As much as I love you, Tommy, please don't puke on me or your brother's truck. You know you're really stupid for downing that much alcohol. You're a freshman for crying out loud," she said holding him up as best as she could.

"It was...it was a dare," he said letting a belch out in the process.

"Okay. You are not allowed to go to parties anymore," she said.

"Oh, come on. These are my...my..." he began.

But he wasn't able to finish for he moved away from her and started hacking out every single ounce of alcohol he had consumed. Beth rubbed his back every time it arched to release more liquid.

"Just let it all out," she said.

After a few more minutes, and a lot of puke later, Tommy had stopped. He took in a couple breaths before he stood up straight.

"Okay...I think the worst of it has passed. I should be good til we get home," Tommy said.

"We better hurry up and get you there then," Beth said.

Joel's truck was parked a few feet in front of them. Beth clicked the unlock button on the clicker and opened up the passenger's door.

"Alright. Get in, Tommy and like I said before, please don't hurl all over the truck," she said helping him into his seat.

"I'll try not to. But I'm not making any promises," he said.

Beth sighed as she closed the door. She quickly went over to the driver's side and went it. She turned the ignition and they took off.

Tommy and Joel's house was about 20 minutes away. Beth hoped that she could make it there without the digested alcohol making an appearance for the second time. As she passed the streetlights of the neighborhood, her mind drifted to Joel. He looked really cute tonight. Although he would never admit it to her, he clearly put some effort into how he would look tonight. She wondered whether or not that was for her or because he just wanted to look nice. Either way, she was thinking about him.

"Are we there yet?" Tommy asked which caused Beth to leave her thoughts behind.

"Yeah, kid. We're almost there. Just hang on a little longer," she said.

He simply nodded and rested his head against the seat. She cracked a smile and shook her head as she turned back to the road.

"God. You're gonna have one hell of a hangover tomorrow," she said softly.

Joel had taken one too many drinks and knew he was going to regret it in the morning. But for the first time in his life, he didn't have a care in the world. He was always looking out for his brother and making sure that their mom got something to eat whenever she came home in the mornings. Their dad left when he was five and his brother was two. Their mom never talked much about him. Only that he left when she needed him most. So to Joel, he was just some deadbeat, no one worth thinking about. Tommy was more than likely at home by now and Beth was surly making her way back to him. He was dancing aimlessly to the music when Roxanne came up to him for the third time in the night and wrapped her arms around him. It got harder each time to shake her off.

"Hey big boy. What do you say we move this party upstairs?" she whispered seductively.

"What?" Joel asked not fully catching what she had said.

The music and the alcohol made it hard for him to concentrate on anything for too long.

"Come with me," she said a little louder.

She took his hand and led him upstairs. Joel tried his hardest to keep himself from falling forward. He failed twice. But Roxanne was determined to get him just where she wanted. She held on tightly to him until they reached a bedroom. He went straight to the bed and flopped onto it. He hasn't realized just how tired he was until he hit that bed. He wanted to stay there forever and close his eyes. He'd dream of Beth because ever since he realized exactly how much he cared for her and perhaps even loved her, she was always in his dreams. But Roxanne had other plans. She had informed Shawn of her plans and he was all too eager to help her. With Joel out of the picture, his plans to get with Beth could finally be put into motion. Roxanne locked the door and went over to Joel. His head was buried deep in one of the pillows. She went over and rubbed his back.

"Joel's a little tired now isn't he?" she asked softly.

Joel muttered something incomprehensible into the pillow. She turned him around and noticed that he was half asleep. She used this to her advantage. She undid her blouse and left it on the floor. She then took off her shoes as well as Joel's.

"What...What are you doing?" Joel asked.

"Just relax," she said moving on top of him.

She reached for the button on his pants.

"Stop. Rox...Roxanne stop," Joel said moving her hands away from him.

"Joel, I want you. I've wanted you for the longest time. But that bitch has kept you away from me. If you'll just give me a chance, I know you will learn to love me," she said unbuttoning her pants.

"No. I'll...I'll only ever want Beth," he slurred.

Foreseeing the difficulty, Shawn had provided her with a sleeping pill. Not wanting to cause any sort of internal damage, she only placed half of one in a glass of water that was now sitting on the dresser next to the bed.

"Fine. I guess there's no convincing you. Here have some water. It'll help with the dryness in your mouth that the alcohol caused," she said reaching over and handing him the glass.

He sat up and took the glass. He finished the entire thing which brought a cynical smile to Roxanne's face.

"Now. Since you're obviously too shitfaced to drive, I asked Shawn if it was okay for you to sleep over here just for tonight. He said it was, so go ahead and make yourself comfortable," she said pushing him back on the bed.

"Beth...she should be coming for me in...in a few minutes," he said trying to sit back up.

But he eventually gave into the softness of the bed.

"Well, while you wait, try and to get some sleep," she said running her hand over his chest.

The burning desire to have her way with him was not dying down any time soon. She just needed to wait until the pill finally kicked in and then, she'd finally get what she wanted. She just hoped that she could get him before Beth got here. She couldn't stand her. That whole sweet and innocent façade that she had going was enough to make her gag. She was going to make Joel hers if it was the last thing she did.
