at the end of not what he seems, some fans were bashing Mabel because she "betrayed" Dipper. i honestly disagree.
this was not a matter of whether or not she trusted Dipper, actually loved him, etc. this was a matter of whether or not Stan was worthy of being trusted.
When Dipper tells Mabel to press the button, she immediately goes for it until Stan butts in.
then Dipper butts in himself and Mabel becomes torn. You can actually see her crying and having an extremely hard time choosing between two people she loves more than anything. Dipper telling her to listen to her head, but Mabel simply refused to, and listened to her heart instead. in her heart, she KNEW Stan was worthy of being trusted. i assure you, if it was switched and if it was Dipper in Stan's place, she would have done the same thing. simply disobeying someone does not equal betrayal (this will be mentioned later)
she was not saying "hey Dipper, i don't trust you anymore", she was saying "hey Dipper, i trust you, but i also trust Stan and i know deep down that he isn't a bad person."and think about it. if Mabel had pressed that button, Ford would be dead. right before the portal opened, he was in serious danger. if Mabel had pressed that button, he would have been killed, Stan would be arrested, and she and Dipper would have to go home. the show would end horribly.
