Jaw dropped from too much shock

The curtains swayed lightly in the wind. Beautiful rays of the setting sun filtered across the room. A girl could be seen peacefully sleeping on her bed.

Almost peacefully..

Alicia eyes twitched before it fluttered open. The scene in front of her was slowly being registered. She saw a chandelier stuck on the ceiling. Since when did her mother bought a chandelier? Hmm they could put that up on a garage sale. She turned her head and saw a set of intricate furniture with gold gildings. Hmm that would fetch a high price. Oh, and there's a canopy above her. Guess she doesn't have to sell her otome game after all.

Wait, what?!

Alicia immediately sat up. She looks around. This isn't her room!

The fancy medieval theme plainly shouts 'Filthy rich!'. The whole atmosphere eminates elegance and nobility unlike her otaku infested room.

'Could it be that I was kidnapped?'

Various thoughts filled Alicia's mind. She remembered the maids calling her 'Alicia-sama'.

'Sama what did you say?'

Was their financial situation really that bad that her parents had to sell her off?

She felt her emotions well up. A giant heartfelt cry escaped her mouth.

"Moooooommmmmmyyyyyy!"

It didn't take long for a group of women in black and white to rush inside.

"Alicia-sama!" They all frantically went beside her.

"Please don't scare us Alicia-sama."

Before Alicia could utter another scream, a man and a woman barged in.

"Honey, is everything alright?"

"My daughter, you did not hit your head did you?"

Maybe she did. Why else would a pair of elegantly dressed couple would call her their daughter? Her parents really did sold her.

"Hic hic... I wanna go home." Alicia started to cry.

Just as Alicia was about to let out a burst of tears, the man presented to her a diamond tiara which he hurriedly snatched from one of his pockets. And just like that her tears rolled back to where they came from.

"Honey, I'm sorry that daddy could not get you a princess title right now. But this tiara is better than any princess has worn. Look it's even made of diamonds!" The man who claimed to be her 'daddy' tried to appease her.

"Daughter look. Mother got you a pair of ruby earrings. They're even the same style her majesty the queen wore at the last banquet!" The so-called mother presented to her a pair of shiny red earrings.

"....." Alicia's jaw dropped. She stared at the couple dumbfoundedly.

The father saw his daughter's flabbergasted expression. His eyes crinckled.

"Servants!" The man called out. "Hurry and bring the other articles."

And immediately, as if they were already expecting it, a line of several maids came inside. All were presenting to Alicia jewelries, dresses and even cakes!

Alicia's eyes were wide open the entire time. She doesn't know where to look as all presents were blinding.

"Ahem..." The man clears his throat. "Honey, I hope you are satisfied with these for now."

"Please don't be mad at us anymore." The mother pleaded.

Alicia stared at them blankly for a while.
