When you have yet to take the first step

At the palace garden Alicia and Kai were busy discussing. Rather, it was Alicia who was narrating to Kai his entire background. It would be strange if the prince doesn't know where he came from right? So Alicia resolved herself to 'teach' a certain prince so that people won't find him suspicious.

In the middle of her anecdote Kai interrupted.
"I get it. Just one question though... Where do you fit in all of these?" He asked.

Alicia has been telling about how the prince, his character, is one of the capture targets. She also went further in telling how the prince and the heroine fell in love until their happy ever after.

"Eh? What do you mean?"

"Since I'm the prince, and there's this heroine, then who are you?" He pointed specifically at her drilled hair.

"That... I'm the villainess."

"Well, sucks to be you." Kai leaned back on the bench.

'Don't rub it on my face like that.' The corner of Alicia's mouth felt like twitching but she controlled herself. She never asked to become the antagonist.

Kai ignored her disgruntled expression.

"So what now?.." he said.

Alicia pondered for a moment. She seemed to have thought of something and her eyes lit up.

"I have an idea!"

She immediately related her thoughts to him.
The game begins with choosing an intended route. It starts when the capture target makes the decision to change or keep his name. Since the prince is the one who has undergone this process then it makes sense that he's the capture target at the moment.
Once you select your 'intended bachelor' you have to go through with it until the end. There is no undo button as per special feature of the game. A bad ending means you have to go through the route all over again. A good ending means you get to end the game or proceed to another route.

"In other words... Kai, you should start wooing the heroine!"

"Hah?"

"Don't you see? We can't get out of here unless the heroine gets her happy ever after with you!" Alicia exclaimed.

"Wait. Are you telling me to do a shotgun marriage?" Kai has this disbelieving look on his face. "Girls these days have some heavy taste..." he commented as if realizing something.

Alicia face-palmed.

"That's not the point..."

She started assessing Kai from head to foot. The perfect hair, charming eyes, beautiful face and tall height. She doesn't need to worry about appearances. His looks definitely passes as a prince. The only problem is how to get him to act like one. Alicia recalled his earlier stunt in eating potato chips, he even finished an entire pizza! She shuddered. She must keep his image of an ideal husbando!

"What are you thinking?" Kai noticed her giving him a strange look.

"Leave it to me. I will make sure that you will be the perfect prince-sama." Alicia placed her hand on his shoulder to reassure him.
Kai sensed her evil plans. He felt a chill crept into his spine and could not help but shiver.

In the inside Alicia was already laughing.

'Hohohohohohohohoh!'

The banquet was over and Alicia went home together with her parents. The duchess, whom Alicia has not seen the entire night, has actually gone chatting with other noble madams about her daughter's possible fiance.
