May mababasa din po kayo ditong Filipino words dahil di po ako ganun ka-familiar to English. This is the first book that I'll publish so its probably lame but I'll try my best for you people.
My POV (Zachary Quill)
I woke up with the sound of my alarm clock ringing. I hit the off botton at my 13th try since I'm not wearing my glasses yet. The Smell of freshly cooked sausages and pancakes roamed around my room. Oh, and in case you don't know, its my first day of school.
"Hey Zach!" My roommate/cousin Oscar yelled. "Breakfast's ready, Lazybones!". I rubbed my eyes and put my glasses on. "Coming! My lord." I muttered as I walked down the stairs of our apartment. Di man ito kalakihang apartment room pero comfy naman para saming dalawa ni Oscar. "Drama mo naman." He grinned after nudging me in the ribs. "Just so you know, abot yung amoy niyang niluto mo hanggang sa kwarto ko, and nakakasira ito sa ekonomiya ng ating bansa." I answered him. "Anong konek?" He answered back.
Matagal na kaming magkaibigan ni Oscar Quill since mag pinsan kami. At kung nagtataka kayo kung bakit ganun ang last name namin ay dahil ang lolo namin is Canadian. Bata pa lang kami ay magkasama na kaming lumaki. So sanay na kami sa asaran ng isa't isa na halos mag buhusan na kami ng kumukulong ihi. (Sorreh).
Kadalasan kaming napagkakamalhang kambal dahil halos parehas kami ng itsura, at parehas kaming gwapo. Yes, you heard it right, parehas kami ng skin tone, which is mild tan, eye color, which is dark gray, our hair color, which is brown and our voices our quite alike too (speaking voice, not singing, be thankful). Ang pinagkaiba lang namin is height (mas matangkad ako sa kanya ng konti) and hair style ( shaggy and messy akin while curly siya) and ako lang ang may glasses saming dalawa
"Bilisan mo ngang kumain diyan, just so you know, first day of school naten." Oscar reminded me. "As if kumain ka na." I joked back. "Ako nagluto edi malamang ako na una kumain." He said. After eating, and an hour of preparing for school, we both grabbed our bikes and headed to our university.
Thank goodness hindi traffic even though monday ngayon. To my surprise, today, Makati is quite peaceful. Onti lang mga sasakyan, di rin masyado maingay ang mga pedestrian. We had a stop by at our grandpa Luis' bakery to buy snacks.
"Aba, nandito na ang dalawa kong naggwagwapuhang mga apo!" Our lolo said as he ruffled our hair. "Hehe, syempre nag mana po kami sa inyo!" I said. "Kayo talaga! Nambobola lang kayo para makalibre ng tinapay eh ano?" Our lolo answered. "Uh-oh, busted." Oscar joked as our Grandpa handed us our favorite pandesal and some soda. "Ingat ha, unahin ang pag-aaral, baka may jowa na kayo kababata nyo pa." Lolo Luis said. "Ako po wala pero diko po alam kung si Oscar meron na." I muttered as Oscar stepped on my foot. "Ah sige po lolo." Answered Oscar as he glares at me like an eagle. "Hahaha, naku kababata nyo pa baka kayo ay maka bunti-". "Tuloy na po kami lolo, malalate na po kami sa klase." Oscar and I said together before our granpa says anything out of topic. "Sige na, ingat!" Our grandpa said as we waved back at him, heading for our school.
As we parked our bikes in front of Vlad University, we noticed a new looking girl hiding beside the school gate, maybe afraid to not fit in the crowd. Wanna know how I knew? Because that's what I felt like when I was new in this university. The girl had loose, black hair and bright blue eyes. She was wearing a pink sweater, gripping firmly at the straps of her backpack. Her legs and hands were trembling (so much Deja vu).
"The first one to give her a school tour gets her number." Oscar said, grinning widely. "Oh you're on, challenged accepted." I answered as we sprinted towards the new girl.
