Oscar's Pov
Take a guess of who was able to reach the girl first. I'll give you three seconds... Want to know who? No one
We were a three meters away from her when the school bus parked right in front of us. It took the students for about an eternity to pile out of the bus. When the Bus left, to our surprise, the girl was gone.
'Nasan sya?" I muttered in surprise. "Over there!" Zach pointed towards the basketball court beside the campus. The girl was there, crouching. Creeping towards the basketball ring. Zach and I exchanged nervous looks and crept towards where the girl was. We followed her and laking gulat namin na bigla siyang humarap samin ng pinsan ko.
Her eyes were swollen with tears.
We slowly walked to her. Di ko alam kung anong gagawin ko, I mean yes, marami na akong babaeng na encounter sa buhay ko but I never had a chance to comfort them, especially not in an awkward situation like this. But to my surprise, Zach spoke to her without hesitation. "Umm.. Why are you crying, and what's your name?" My cousin said calmly. "Maxine, Joanna Maxine." She answered, her voice breaking. "My Brother is missing". She continued "Do you have any idea where he is?" I asked. She nodded and pointed below the basketball ring. There, I saw the person I hated the most, Bryan Allister.
Together with his mean friends, they surrounded a terrified looking boy. They seem to be scaring the kid to death. Pushing him around, emptying his bag and throwing his books to the ground. "That's him." Maxine said. "We were just walking together earlier when I noticed he wasn't with me anymore" She continued as she wiped her tears with her sleeve."HEY BRYAN!" Zach Shouted.
Zach's POV
"HEY BRYAN!" I shouted. Bryan and his goons turned their heads towards us. "Zach and Oscar?" Said Bryan. The Boy, Maxine's brother was shocked when they saw us, but his eyes glinted with hope as he saw her sister beside me and Oscar.
"What do you want from him? Let him go!" I shouted.
"At sino ka naman para iligtas sya ha? Kaano-ano ka ba nya? Do you knowing him?" Sagot sakin ni Bryan habang papalapit ng papalapit samin.
Wow, do you knowing him?
"I do." Said Maxine, now standing up from her drama session. "Kapatid ko siya."
Bryan lifted his eyebrow na parang nakakita siya ng anghel na bumaba sa langit.
"Well, well, well, who do we having here?." Wow english .
Pasikat na sabi ni Bryan kay Maxine, twirling a strand of her hair between his fingers. Before I knew it, my fist collided with Bryan's ugly cheekbone. He backed away in pain.
"Learn your lesson." I warned him.
"This doesn't end here Zachary Quill." Bryan said as he and his gang backed away, then disappeared into an alley. To our surprise, Oscar was running towards us, Maxine's brother at his side.
"Gab!" Maxine exclaimed as she hugged her brother tightly in her arms. "Are you okay? Are you hurt?" She asked her brother.
"Im fine, di naman ako nasaktan." Answered Gab.
"Thank you, um... what are your names again?" Said Maxine.
"Im Oscar, this is Zach, my cousin." Oscar Explained.
Laking gulat namin nang bigla kaming niyakap ni Maxine. I glanced at Oscar and saw his face turning red, and I bet I'm blushing too.
"Um, Zach, Oscar, this is Gab, my brother, Gab, this is Zach and Oscar." Nahihiyang sabi ni Maxine sa kapatid nya.
"Thank you po!" Said Gab Happily like nothing happened to him. He gave Oscar and me a High-5.
Suddenly, nagulat kami nang biglang may nag "Ehem" sa likuran namin. As we turned around, nakita namin ang principal ng Vlad University; si Mrs. Monzor, or as she liked being called, Madame M.
