Chapter 1: Orphanage

Song of chapter: Dead and Gone - T.I.

Isaiah

The only way to describe this place is chaotic. It's far different from the way people describe it in books and movies. The other kids in here are annoying and very aggrevating. My name's Isaiah Brown and I'm a 16 year old orphan. My family passed when I was 3. I only wished they were here longer.

"I NEED FOR EVERYONE TO COME TO THE LOUNGE." Our child care worker announced.

I threw on a pair of faded blue jeans and a white wolf shirt. Just my casual clothing. As I started heading towards the lounge, I over heard the administrators talking about some new kids coming. I'm not looking forward to it. There's barely any room for our beds let alone more kids.

I walked down the hallway to the lounging area in this building. Our child care worker came into the room to start things. I sat down in the small brown arm chair to my right.

"Hello everyone, there'll be some arrangements made, room wise...." she stated.

As she continued explaining what was happening, some kids, more like 5, walked into the room and stood beside her. Two were twins, both females...one with red streaks in her hair and the other with blue. Another girl was standing next to them with blonde hair. Then there were two boys right along with them. Other than that they all looked around my age.

"...a few of you will be sharing a room with these lovely children." she continued.

I didn't really pay much attention long after that. I let my thoughts and mind drift off. Hopefully I don't have to share my room with any of them....I like staying to myself. Now if I had no choice but to share my room, I'd rather share my room with one of the guys. I wouldn't be able to with the girls. I miss my mom and dad a lot. Especially my twin brother. Yeah thats right I had a twin. His name's Isacc and he was the most carasmatic brother anyone could ask for. But now I'm stuck in this fu...

"Isaiah?!?"......I was pulled from my thoughts as someone lightly grabbed my shoulder and called my name. It was the female administrator....I could never remember her name.

"Yes?!?" I asked puzzled.

" You wouldn't mind sharing your room with Liam and Sean right?" she asked hopefully.

Ok, don't get me wrong....I'm alright with sharing my room with one of them, but both.....I'm not so sure. My room's small as it is. I can barely fit half of my stuff in that room and now you want to add more people to this equation. Ugh, why does life decide it's ok to do this to me. I bet I jinxed myself with my crazy thoughts. Geez. I mentally face palmed myself.

"Sure. I guess it's not that big of a problem." I answered only half truthfully.

"Thank you for being so considerate Isaiah." she said.

I nodded my head and motioned for them to follow me to m..there new room. After walking down the hallway, two left turns, and a right we finally arrived at ‛our' room.

" So Liam, Sean this is where ya'll be with me for however long you're staying here. It's pretty bare so......yeah." I told them.

There were two chairs, a dresser, and one bed...for now, in here. They took the chairs and sat down quietly. I actually like the silence, it's quite relaxing. After about 2 and a half hours of complete silence, Ms. Hart and a few men came in with two beds. I'm guessing for Liam and Sean. They weren't any different from my bed. No biggie.

For the rest of the night we layed in our beds not really saying anything to each other. The clock read....10:34 p.m. so I closed my eyes in order for sleep to wash over my exhausted body. After about 10 minutes I finally fell into a deep slumber.
