Light blinked through my eyes. It was a Saturday. I trekked down to the great hall for breakfast.
We were having pancakes, so I was happy. I poured syrup over them, and grabbed a slice of bacon.
After eating quickly and alone, I headed outside. I loved autumn. It's so peaceful and calm. The grey sky was silhouetted by colored leaves.
It was so peaceful.
The birds whistled away as I walked down to the lake. Once there, I quickly found my favorite tree.
Once I had scrambled up, I grabbed a piece of paper and some pencils out of a bag I had stashed up here.
Before I realized what I was doing, my hand was sketching out a familiar face...
Luna.
After yesterday, I didn't know how I felt. She was so beautiful and calm.
I drew in silence for what seemed like hours, sketching her face from one angle and another.
Breathing slowly and deeply, I carefully tore out the paper. I flipped the page to the back and wrote in my best handwriting- Luna Lovegood Year 8.
As I was writing, I heard a rustling in the leaves. Quickly, panicked I folded the paper and shoved it into my pocket.
"Oh. Hey y/n!"
It was Hermione.
"Hi" I said awkwardly.
"Sorry, I didnt know you were up here. Can I sit?"
I nodded.
I pulled out another piece of paper and started to draw the pond.
"That's really pretty!" I heard Hermione say.
"Thanks" I said.
She smiled.
"No wonder Luna's dating you. You're really talented."
I laughed, "Luna would never date me."
Hermione just stared at me, "Oh."
"That's okay." I said, "we're just friends"
That was really hard to say. Okay, so I maybe really liked her.
"Oh. Well I gotta run!" Said Hermione.
I smiled.
"See ya later!"
