I might be crazy, but I think she's inching towards my face too.
Finally, in a burst of emotion, our lips are touching and it's really happening. I'm kissing Luna. This is all I've wanted for months.
Her lips are soft and playful, and I can feel her cool skin against mine.
I just feel RIGHT.
It's so gentle. So free.
Until, it's over.
Suddenly, I'm horrified. This is so stupid! I've ruined the only ties I had to Luna.
"What have I done?"
Luna's face falls.
"You don't like me."
My mouth drops open.
"No! It's just..... I've ruined it. We can't be friends anymore."
Luna smiles.
"Y/n l/n. I never wanted to be JUST your friend. I've always wanted more. Now I know that everything is going to be okay."
I twist my fingers in her long wispy hair. She's smiling. Her cheeks are flushed the perfect peach, and her eyes are ripples of blue. Her long fingers are holding my face and all I can do is be here.
Without thinking, I wrap my arms around her slim, perfect body.
Our lips meet again, and I'm again plunged into perfection. Her eyelashes are tickling my face. I can feel her lips grinning against mine, and our noses are bumping.
Eventually, I pull away and wrap her small body into a loving hug.
We're snuggling deeper into the covers, and our bodies are one.
As I drift to sleep I hear one word whispered in the dark.
It's so late I don't even know if I'm saying it, or she is, but it's there.
