Luna Lovegood x Fem! Reader

Sleep over

A couple months later, i was thouroughly infatuated with luna.
I woke up with sun streaming into my eyes. Fall was coming to a close, and soon it would be cold out. I took a deep breath and looked out on the hedges and trees.
I had recently adopted the practice of just calmly thinking over the coming day for ten minutes before I did anything in the morning. So I reflected on my day. I thought about my schedule and just took some deep breaths. My roommates were still sleeping, and one of them was breathing these tiny sigh-like snores.
I washed my face, slapped on some makeup, and pulled on my outfit.
Once I had done 5his, o grabbed my day of books and headed over to the great hall.
Draco and I sat with Luna everyday now. This particular morning we chatted over eggs and toast.
I had Newt level Potions first thing. After that I had double defense against the dark arts followed by a study hall and then higher runes.
By lunch, I was exhausted.
I walked in the great hall greeted by grilled cheese and tomato soup. I found Luna and sat down.
"Where's Draco?" I asked.
"He's studying for an exam he has later."
I nodded and continued eating.
"Hey y/n?" Said luna, "you wanna work on DaDa homework in the tree after class?"
I smiled, "I'd love to."
After breezing through History of Magic, I walked down to the tree to meet Luna. She waved down to me from a high branch, and I smiled grabbing a branch and hauling myself up.
After about 20 minutes of work I couldn't take it anymore.
"Hey Luna?" I asked.
"Yes y/n."
"I know we came here to work on homework, but can I draw you? The scene is perfect."
"Of course." She answered.
I focused on drawing her furrowed eyebrows, flowy hair, dewdrop eyes and graceful face. By the time it started to get dark out, I had 12 pages full of sketches.
"Well, we didn't finish our homework after all." I pointed out.
"Wanna sleep over with me? We could work together and then just hang out."
I looked at her confused, "I can't sleep in the ravenclaw dorms."
"I have my own room silly. I'm the head girl, remember."
"Wait really? I literally never knew."
She laughed.
"You didn't?"
I nodded. "I guess a sleepover could be fun."
A whole night of pretending not to want to kiss those lips. Not to want to tangle my hands in that hair. Not to want to lean on her and never stop. This was going to be interesting.
So we went to her room.
It was gorgeous.
The walls were a light grayish blue.
The bed spread was offwhite with a fluer de lis pattern in navy and there were lots of little plants sitting on dressers and tables.
I looked at her, smiling "I guess we should start working."
After a few hours we had finished our homework and talked for a while.
I yawned really big.
"Are you tired?" Luna asked.
"A little." I admitted.
So Luna turned down the lights, we brushed our teeth, and I  borrowed a pair of shorts and a t-shirt to sleep in.
We hopped in the bed, but it was awkward.
After a while of silence, I turned to face her in the bed.
Even in the dark, she was beautiful.

Suddenly, I start to lean in.

I might be crazy, but I think she's inching towards my face too.

Authors note: for the next chapter I'll write 2 versions. A smut version and a fluff version. Read whichever you prefer. Nothing will be left out of the chapter in either one, it just depends on if you prefer smut or fluff.

Also the hurricane wasn't nearly as bad as they thought it would be down here, so I could have written this Saturday, but I procrastinated, and literally wrote this at 9:30 today.
