After dropping for a minute, it stopped abruptly. I saw water starting to come through the floor. What the hell?! It was filling slowly, seeping though the floor panels. I started freaking out, I texted Jordan but it wouldn't go through. I heard a voice in the distance. It was coming from the loud speakers in the apartment building. "Attention! Our elevators are out of order, please use the stairs until further notice" it said. "Help!" I yelled. "Somebody help!". The water kept rising. My feet were almost fully submerged. I tried calling Jordan. The phone was ringing. Thank god. "Hello?" He said. "Jordan! I'm stuck in the elevator, and it's filling with water!" I said. "What? Maddie? Hello?" He said. "Fuck, come on! Jordan! Can you hear me?!" I yelled. "Maddie, your breaking up, I'll call you later" he said. "Jordan wait, no!" I yelled, but the call disconnected. "Fuck!" I yelled pounding on the door.

Jordan's POV:
I was confused what was happening, all I heard was elevator, and water. I just ignored the feeling I had and went back to working with the guys.

                   1 hour later....

Madeline's POV:
It's been more then an hour, how come no one has gotten me out? The water is up to my boobs now. I was starting to really freak out.

Jordan's POV:
After a few hours I started to get worried that I didn't hear anything from Maddie. "Hey guys, I got to go, I'm gonna try to see what's up with Maddie" I said and they guys agreed to end the session early. I drove back to my apartment and she wasn't there. I tried to call her. "Hello? Jordan!?" She said. "Yeah, Maddie, where are you?" I asked. "I'm stuck in the elevator, the water is almost up to my nose, you need to get help!" She said into the phone. I heard splashing water in the background. "What? Maddie what water?" I asked. "Just get help!" She yelled and the she disconnected. I ran down to the front desk, "why are all the elevators shut down?" I asked. "There's a flood in the basement, so we had to shut them down" the lady said. Oh my god. "You need to get them working, there's a girl stuck and she's going to drown!" I explained. She ran to the phone and called maintenance or something and told them what was going on. I ran over to the elevator control room where there were a bunch of guys trying to figure out which one she was in. I was starting to freak out, I didn't know what was going to happen. "What's going on where is she?!" I asked. "She's in the lowest elevator, there's no possible way she's alive, the flood fully submerged the elevator. Tears formed in my eyes, "so what the fuck does that mean? She's dead?!" I yelled. "I'm sorry, but we just have to wait till the ambulance gets here, we sent some men down to get her body out of the elevator" he said. "Oh my god" I said to my self. She's gone. She's fucking dead and there's nothing I could do. I would never see her again. They told me I had to wait in the lobby. I did for a few minutes but I couldn't any longer. I ran down the stairs into the basement. I saw them pulling her out of the elevator from the top. Her body was soaked and limp. She wasn't moving. "Maddie! Madeline!" I yelled running over to her. One of the men felt her pulse. He looked at my and shook his head. I knelt down next to her, trying to shake him awake. "Maddie, come on. Pleas Maddie! Wake up!" I yelled. I tried giving her mouth to mouth. It didn't work. I tried again, she woke up, turned her head to the side and coughed up water. I pulled her closer to me into a hug. "Oh my god, I thought I lost you" I said. She didn't say anything, she just hugged me tighter.

She was just sitting on the couch, she was still shaking. I gave her a pair of my sweatpants and a sweatshirt, she didn't want to go back to her apartment, so I brought her back to mine. I got her a glass of water and sat down next to her. She didn't want it. "How are you feeling?" I asked. She just shrugged. "Maddie, just talk to me" I said. "Sorry. I'm just still in shock" she explained. "I'm so sorry Maddie" I said. "Don't be. You didn't do anything wrong" she said grabbing my hand. I smiled and kissed her head. She leaned her head on my shoulder, and we started watching a movie. She fell asleep shortly after.

Madeline's POV:
I opened my eyes and I was in the elevator again. The water was filling up quickly, it got to my face and covered my mouth and nose I screamed as loud as I could. I sat up and realized it was just a dream. "Madeline!" I heard Jordan yell. His face had a concerned look. "Bad dream?" He asked, and I nodded yes. He wrapped his arm around me and held me close to him. He made me feel so safe. "Jordan?" I said quietly. "Yeah?". "I love you" I said. "I love you too" he said back.

It was the afternoon of the next day. I was standing outside of my apartment. Thinking of what I should say to Camila. I'd been standing there for 5 minutes. Even though I still didn't know what to say, I knocked on the door. Camila opened it. "Hey" I said. "Hi" she said. "Can we talk?"
I asked and she nodded letting me in. I sat on the couch and she sat on the chair across from me. "I want to come back. I can't keep on living with Jordan, it's not fair to him" I said. "Well maybe if you apologized for lying about my boyfriend touching you, you would have never had to leave" she said. "Camila, you can doubt me all you want, but I'm telling you, as your best friend, I'm not lying" I explained. "I believe you. I know you'd never lie to me" she said. I took a breath of relief. We hugged and made up. Thank gof this feud is over.
