A/N: oh, look at that. an update :0

Nikolai lead me out the door and down a long hallway wearing a nice white and black flannel, grey top and black jeans. I furrowed my eyebrows, not knowing where we where going. Every now and then, I'd glance behind me where Tessa was, walking faster everytime she moved anywhere close behind me.

Nikolai, Tessa and I kept walking until we reached a giant door that made me question if we had any secret giants among us. Nikolai pushed the door open, revealing a glass walled room with a vibrant chandilier. In the middle of the room was a varnished oak wood table long enough for twenty people on each side. I followed Nikolai towards the table, seeing the maid quickly running around placing cups and plates on the table, bowing to us when we got closer. I noticed someone was sitting at the head of the table. Someone I wasn't necessarily delighted to see.

"Soomi, dear." My father said, plastering an all too cheery expression. "Nice to see you could make it for dinner." I nodded, having Nikolai take out the chair on my father's left, having me to sit as Tessa sat opposite and Nikolai beside me. Everything was quiet until my father conjured up a conversation. "Soomi." "Father." I said sternly, not enjoying this event one bit. I noticed his smile falter before quickly recovering. "How have you been?" I shrugged, causing Nikolai to furrow his eyebrows at me for some reason. "Swell. Just swell." I replied, obvious sarcasm showing. "Good. I know this must be sudden, being taken away from your play toys but—" I coughed loudly, catching my father, Tessa and Nikolai off.

"Play toys? They're my friends, thank you very much." I saw Tessa roll her eyes, causing me to squint at her disapprovingly. "According to Tessa's word, the seven boys you where staying with were filthy and desperate." I scoffed, "I guess she said she was as straight as a ruler too. Everyone lies sometimes." Nikolai tilted his head to the said, causing some of his brown locks to fall. "What're you talking about? Her posture is perfect." I glanced at Tessa, seeing her hide the smallest smirk, knowing that they'd never believe my word over hers.

"Dinner is served, master." The maid said, placing our plates down before taking her leave. Everyone started eating quietly, causing me to glance at everyone with a suspicious gaze. This dinner isn't how I'd expected it to be, especially with my father here. I had a lot of burning questions, mainly on why they basically kidnaped me here. "Do you like the food, Soomi?" Nikolai questioned, causing me to nod towards his direction. "If you're still hungry after, we have snacks." I glanced up, seeing Tessa wink towards me as she said that.

I started coughing, causing Nikolai to be the only one who became worried. He started patting my back as I gulped mouthfuls of water. "Are you okay?" He whispered, causing me to nod while I dried my mouth with a napkin. "Shame you didn't stop breathing." My father said casually as he stabbing his fork into the broccoli on his plate. "Shame you didn't disappear along with mum." I said as casually as he did. Now this, this made him mad.

"How dare you speak towards me like that!" He yelled, slamming down his knife and fork harshly on the table. I rolled my eyes, standing up calmly. "How dare you speak to me like that, asking for respect when you don't have any yourself? Now I'm excusing myself." "Soomi, plea—" "I said, I was excusing myself, Nikolai." I said with a low voice, placing down my fork and walking out of the room, feeling my father's raging glare, Nikolai's worried stares and Tessa's smirking eyes.
