Jason's pov
I've been so tense and worried after what happened which I know I shouldn't be. That'll only make PTSD worse. I try to keep myself busy with songwriting, something I haven't done in too damn long. A knock at the bedroom door surprises me. "What's up?" I call. "Brantley's here. Ya want me to tell him you can't talk or something?" "Nah. I'm comin'." I say, setting down my pencil and picking my ballcap up. I put it on and walk out. "Hey man, how ya doin'?" I ask, waving. "Fine. What about you?" "I'm okay." I say. "Well I was thinking, wanna go camping? It's been too long." The thought of doing something as normal as camping is pretty awesome but then I worry that the forestry will make my mind think of the forests we were in in China before we were captured. "I... I don't think so, man." I say nervous. "Jason's been working on songwriting." Miranda says, grabbing my hand. I smile. "Anything that'd compete with me?" B jokes. I laugh and wave him up. "It ain't much." I say, walking in my songwriting room. I hand him what I've been working on. A song called "Why." He reads through what I've got and looks shocked. "Wow. This song is amazing!" I smile. "Thanks. I'm probably gonna cut it." "I think ya should." His phone rings. "The wife." He says, handing the song back and answering the phone. "I wonder if it has potential on the charts." I mumble, thinking. All I know is I need to stay away from military stuff. My mind is too muddled by it.
