Chapter 4: "Don't kill me"

Baby? 

I looked at the woman, who yelled, and can there be any other word for beautiful?

She had long, cascading red hair, deep  red lips and green mesmerizing eyes

Her standing by Liam just proved that they fit together like a puzzle peice, they had to be the world's most beautiful couple.

"It HAS to be something Liam, you were holding this nigger's hand"

Wait, forget what I said about her being beautiful, did she just say the "N" word to me? To me? But to be professional I had to keep my cool

"Excuse me ms., your boyfriend had no intentions with me, he was simply offering me a job"

Liam finally spoke up

"Exactly what she said, see baby there it is nothing" he said while caressing her face

Hearing him say baby to her broke my heart a little....I knew now I would never have a chance with him, the hard part was getting rid of these feelings I have for him.

"Ok then.....sorry for that, my name is Maybelle, assistant manager, and soon to be wife of this sexy man" Maybelle said while giving Liam a BIG sloppy kiss

I stood there hurt, ,she must've been his fiancee, not even a girlfriend,but I couldn't show them that, so I cleared my throat

"Nice to meet you Maybelle, I'm Renae, and hopefully I get a job from(to be professional) Mr.Williams."

After Liam had to force Maybelle out of a heated kiss they shared, we finally entered his office

It was pretty and simple, and on his desk was one picture of him and an older lady who had similar face features to him, a girl about my age, a boy who looked about 7, and then an older man who looked exactly like Liam

"That's my family, a beauty aren't they?"

I smiled, it reminded me of my family, but we were much bigger

"Yeah...they are"

"Renae excuse Maybelle, she doesn't usually act that way towards many other women"

"No, I get it it's okay, she was just a protective fiancee"

When I said fiancee I saw him looked down and sigh, and if I'm not mistaken I think he wispered "unfortunately". I was curious.

"Do you love her?"

He looked at me, stunned for the out of the blue question, but I JUST had to know....was there love real....maybe I could have a chance

Get your head out of those thoughts Renae

He cleared his throat uncomfortably 'Yeah, of course I do, why would you think the opposite,...what?"

It was not rocket science to know Liam was lying, but I avoided the topic anyway

"So what exactly, is the job" I said getting comfortable in my chair

"Personal assistant"

I choked on nothing, and said what in disbelief

"But I don't know anything about that"

"Its just note taking, planning, booking, and filling out papers"

I thought to myself for a minute, it did sound easy, and I know I would get a much higher pay, but what about Maybelle and the others, what about Kelly and Lacy, will they think I betrayed them or will they be happy for me?

"I'll have to think about, can you give me sometime"

"Three days max, I really need to find an assistant, okay"

I nodded

"So thank you for all of that I think I'm gonna go now"

I turned around but then remembered I left my car

Liam smiled, amused,

"I was waiting till you would remember"

I smiled too, and we both walked out the building, with many stares yet again

On our way back, Liam's phone started to ring, and he pulled out his iPhone x

"Hello"

"I already told you that was a one time thing, quit asking me"

"Okay I'm busy right now, bye and please do not call again"

I sat there confused, didn't he have a fiancee, but yet he was going aroud, doing God knows what to women

"To clear this up for you I'm just gonna straight up say it, Maybelle and I do not really love each other, we just have to pretend to the public eye, we are in this fake relationship due to business purposes, and we both agreed we can have love affairs on the side. So please do not tell anyone that"

I was shocked and very very happy, I could have a chance, I mean he doesn't cringe to my disgusting looks everytime, or maybe he just needed someone for that job

"Oh" I said trying to sound sad or disappointed

"Yeah believe it or not, I actually wanted something real, but now I can't because I am quote on quote engaged"

Before I could say anthing, my phone started to ring, it was Kelly

"Oh Renae, can you bring Chinese takeout to my house and bring a sad movie to watch" she sobbed

"Oh Kelly what's wrong"

I noticed Liam quickly looked at me then looked back to the road when I said Kelly's name

"I got rejected by a man" she started to cry more

I was kind of shocked, Kelly NEVER got rejected, it was just not heard of

"Oh Kells, it's okay, I'll be there soon"

"Thanks Renae"

I hanged up and sighed ,it was going to be a long night

When we arrived I stepped out, and That's when Liam grabbed my wrist

The tingles oh the tingles

"Renae....

I looked at him hoping this would be a cliche scene from movies and books

"Yes..." I urged him, getting impatient

"Don't kill me"

And with that he drove off

Seriously don't kill him?  What does he even mean, I swear this man is going to be the death of me he is so mysterious.

I brought Chinese food and headed to Kelly's house
