(Y/n) observed the ghostly woman in front of her. She strangely felt at peace when looking at her, and she knew who she was. She was the magi from that legend, the one who was known to share her power in order to eradicate abnormalities from the world.
"I don't have a lot of time, just follow him during the next full moon" she said petting the rabbit which was curdled in her arms. "He will guide you. I can't stay too much, this night is one without a moon..." she added and vanished into thin air.
If tonight was a new moon, then, the full moon should happen in approximatively fifteen days. They will have to wait fifteen days? Will the kingdom survive until this day?
"So... Basically, we have no choice but to wait..." Vahitr said, breaking the silence.
For six days, the "Fallen" didn't act and even disappeared from the kingdom. However, it was disturbing as no one knew what they wanted, and where they were hiding despite the regular patrol and the searching squad. It was a stressful situation for the new unofficial queen, and she was afraid for her father. Where was he?
Nine days until the full moon and the "fallen" started to create riot. This night, Suvira cried for the first time since it all began.
This whole situation was so messed up...
The day after, Suvira organized a meeting between all the generals, Vahitr and (Y/n). The riot became more and more aggressive with each passing days and all they did to prevent that wasjust something to retard the bomb. They had to do something. The queen wanted to prevent war, but it was inevitable. A lot of people already fell and died during this war, waiting was out of question. A heavy atmosphere fell on the room, and everyone had a grim look on their face thinking about their family, their friends who had fall, they might have to fight them, even killed them...
At the end of the meeting, everyone took their place, ready to protect the kingdom even though it was late. Only Suvira, Vahitr and (Y/n) stayed in the room.
"We need to act, and now." (Y/n) said, sternly.
"But how?" Vahitr asked. "The ghost or whatever she was told us to wait until the full moon."
"We don't even know what you power will be." Suvira add, she was still reluctant as to use her friend's power.
"Suvira... You know it's our last hope..." the (h/c) woman told her with a soft tone.
The queen fell silent, she knew but she didn't want to admit it. Everyone was lost in thought, thinking of a way to summon the Goddess of the moon, until the rabbit began to squeak softly and jumped on the floor, toward the door. The trio looked at each other before they followed the small animal and arrived in a vast clearing, illuminated by the first quarter moon.
He then changed into a small boy, glowing under the natural light. He put a knee on the grass and his right hand to his heart while the other one laid on the ground. The three that followed him imitated his gesture.
"You can talk to Mother, she will answer." The little boy whispered as (Y/n) looked at him. She stayed silent thinking of a way to ask her request.
"Please, Mother... I beg you..." (Y/n) said, looking at the moon."I know it's too soon but... We don't have the time. Please...You have to give me your power..."
They all waited for an answer, but nothing came after what felt like eternity. (Y/n)'s head fell, tears staining her face but a soft and cold hand gently push her chin up.The Goddess stood in front of them, the skirt she wore flowed around her and ended in smoke. It looked like she didn't have legs making her resemble a ghost. She was surrounded by so many rukh that even non-magicians could see it
"I heard you my child...You can stand now."She said to everyone in a powerful yet disembodied voice.
"(Y/n)... I can give you the power you need but I want you to be aware... My power is not complete, and the risk for you to die is high for it is not the full-moon..." The Goddess warned the young magician. She knew that but it still scared her to the bone... She thought about Sindria, her friends she cowardly left...Her mind kept wandering back to Ja'far and the poor girl began to regret not telling them why she ran away..."I'm so sorry..."
"I'm willing to take this risk for my kingdom." she said her hand on her heart.
Tears streamed down Suvira's tan face as she stared at her dear friend. "Are you sure you want to do that?" She mumbled, her voice didn't waver despite the tears.
(Y/n) expression softened as her eyes landed on the brunette she knew since she was a child. "This is something I want, Suvira. Don't blame yourself for a choice I made. I want to help you, and I will."
The young queen tackled her into a warm hug as soon as she finished her sentence.
"I'll be back! I promise..." It was a stupid vow. Nobody knew if she will survive and she herself, was afraid of dying. Again, she thought about Ja'far."What did he do when I left?"she wondered. She missed him so much that it hurt.
After taking a deep breath, she told the Goddess she was ready.
"Then... My little boy, please." The ghostly woman said.
"Yes mom!" The child answered, smiling as he started to glow and in a flash, he became a beautiful sceptre adorned with a jade rabbit on top of the golden handle.
(Y/n) held the sceptre, and the Goddess did the same. She started chanting a prayer in Torran before she completely disappeared, leaving the trio alone. They quickly understood what had happened. The young magician had gained the power of a magi : it was exciting and frightening. But she didn't have time to freak out. She teleported them in front of the palace.
The view was horrifying.
