"Did you notice something strange before it all started?" Sinbad asked.
"I did. It happened one or maybe two years ago, I don't really remember, but I saw people dressed all in wide black dress, hiding their faces with a large keffiyeh... I don't know where they were coming from but I knew they were dangerous. You look like you know something about them. Do you?"
"Indeed. I think I know who they are but I just don't understand why they decided to attack your kingdom. I had to deal with them years ago and even now." He said with a dark expression.
"Who are they?" (Y/n) asked, frowning.
"An organization named Al-Thamen. We don't know much about them yet. All we know is that we need to annihilate them for the world's sake." The sindrian king answered. "Queen Suvira, if they attacked your kingdom and will surely come back again. They are everywhere, we need the help of as many countries as we can."
"If you want to talk about an alliance, I would prefer another day." She cut him, sharper than she intended to. "It's late, we should go to sleep. King Sinbad, we will talk about this matter tomorrow. I will send a maid to let you know."
___________
After the king and his generals got out of the room, following the maid who guided them to their chamber, (Y/n) and Vahitr stayed with Suvira. They were talking about everything like good old times.
"Don't you have months to catch up with a certain man?" Vahitr teased, a smirk plastered on his face as he saw the young magician's face flushing red.
"I didn't remember he was that handsome..." Suvira added, thoughtfully, laughing along with her knight after a moment. They liked to tease her like that, they were just happy that she found someone who cared for her as much as she cared for him.
"Fine!" (Y/n) screamed as she got up "I understand."
"Huh?" they exchanged a look, before looking at the (h/c) head."I understand, it's okay. I'll leave you two alone." she said as she opened the door. "I don't want to disturb the lovebirds." She winked at them before closing the door. She smiled hearing them trying to justify the fact they are not in love, which was obviously not true.
As the young woman walked through the corridor, she noticed a familiar silhouette walking in the garden.
"Do you mind if I join you?"
Ja'far gave her an angelic smile. "I would actually love it if you stayed."
Oh how she loved that smile and the way his hair reflected the moonlight... His sweet voice... She looked away as she noticed her cheeks were burning. She must have been as red as Masrur's hair."So... Why aren't you sleeping ?" She asked.
"Thinking about you." He casually answered. "I- I mean I was thinking about what happened to you." He corrected, his face burning causing her to laugh. They walked for a few meters before they sat down on the grass, their shoulders touching.
"A lot happened..." she said after a moment, her head down. "I was afraid not to see you and the others again... I'm sorry. Really..."
"You don't have to. We were more worried than upset when you left."
"I thought you would hate me..." She mumbled, glancing at him just to notice he was already looking at her.
Ja'far sighed, turning his head toward the bright moon. "In all honestly, I tried to but I couldn't and I will never be able to hate you (Y/n)."
She didn't say anything after that, laying on his shoulder contemplating the moon. The silence was comfortable and so was his presence. It reminded them of those sleepless nights in Sindria sometimes due to the enormous amount of work, and sometimes when they just couldn't sleep.
"The moon is beautiful tonight." Ja'far whispered.
"She has always been beautiful... And kind." (Y/n) said. "Whenever I look at the moon, I feel at peace, as if she was protecting me... That might be because I was chosen by her but this is how I feel when I know you're close to me."
He didn't say a word. He was too hypnotised by her soft voice. Her vivid (e/c) eyes reflecting the moon like a mirror, her hair slightly moving following the wind, her hand gesture when she talked. She was just so pure.
"Ah... I'm sorry, I'm speaking too much, there is a lot going on my-"
Ja'far didn't let her finish her sentence his hands tenderly cupped her face, his lips soft again hers and she needed a few seconds to understand what happened before she kissed him back. Though quick and a little bit rushed, it was a passionate kiss they will never forget."I couldn't help myself..." Ja'far apologized.
(Y/n) laughed, her face still red and burning. She wasn't expecting that from him but she wasn't complaining. Even her laughter sounded like music to his ears. He couldn't find any flaws on her. She was just perfect.
"You know..." the magician started, composing herself, "We've never said those words. It's funny how we knew we were meant for each other without ever saying them."
"Words aren't strong enough to describe how I feel towards you... But I guess saying it won't kill me." He smiled. "I love you, (Y/n)."
"I love you too, Ja'far."
