The young paladins knew something was wrong when the entire Castle of Lions shook. They stopped their usual activities, standing still as they tried to consider what had happened. Why hadn't the alarm system been triggered? Pidge was sat in their room, typing up some code when it happened, while Hunk stood in the kitchen with the hopes of surprising everyone with a nice dinner.

Lance and Keith were a little different. Keith was training in the Training Hollow while Lance was sleeping on the couches. Both hadn't initially noticed the quake until Allura's voice came up onto the speakers. "Paladins! Come to the bridge, quickly!" Her voice was urgent, and Keith's eyebrows furrowed, ready to fight whatever he had to.

Only, when they arrived in the control panel they saw something completely different from what they had imagined. There, in the middle of the bridge was a young person. Their eyes were shut and their space helmet cracked slightly.

"I don't understand. How did they get here?" Lance questioned, eyes wide and hands outstretched towards the unconscious being.

"How do we know they aren't dangerous?" Pidge questioned, eyeing the figure suspiciously.

Keith stared at the figure, more shocked than anything. How did they end up here? "I know her." He whispered, hands beginning to quake slightly at the sight.

"What?" Shiro asked quickly, shooting a concerned glance towards the dark-haired paladin. "You know this person? Like, from Earth? But how?"

Keith frowned, kneeling down beside the figure. "She was my best friend before I was kicked out of the Garrison." He said quietly, his head dipping somberly. "Once I was kicked out they couldn't remember me. I'm convinced the Garrison wiped me from their memories."

Hunk's eyebrows creased sympathetically, giving Keith an encouraging pat on his back. "Aw, Keith. I'm sorry this happened. But at least you know they're safe!" He hummed, trying to cheer up the red paladin with a small smile.

"But she won't remember me, so what's the point?" He growled, standing up and making his way back to the training hollow, leaving a questioning group behind him.
