I turned off my computer and flopped down on my bed. These are just some of the tips I'm going to be using today at my new school. Raiders High.
Yay!
Yeah, no.
I threw on my outfit that I picked out last night, some light high waisted jeans, and a plain white shirt with a gray clover in the middle, and after struggling with my converse I threw on my book bag and dragged myself to the kitchen.
"Come on, you're going to be late." My older brother, Timothy said.
"What? But I didn't even eat breakfast yet!" I complained.
"Well to bad, let's go." I followed him out of the door, slightly grumpy since I didn't get to eat anything. "So, how are you feeling about starting public school?"
I shrugged. "The same as online school just with people."
"Haha." Timothy said sarcastically, as he started driving.
I should probably introduce myself.
My name is Mauve Palmer and I'm colorblind, I can't see any colors besides black, white, and gray. But, to me it's normal because it's all I've ever seen, I don't know how colors look like. I wear really dark glasses that help me distinguish the different shades better, and to protect my eyes from bright things.
My height is around 5'6" and I'm 17 years old. I have dark wavy hair that reaches a bit past my shoulders. My eyes are slightly downturned with average length eyelashes. My eyebrows are very thick thanks to my Italian grandparents. I'm actually a mix of Italian, Greek, and Turkish, which explain my bold features.
I found out online that I have a oval/heart shaped face, with fairly high cheekbones. I have a straight Greek nose, a bit to big for my liking, and it definitely doesn't help that my glasses tend to accentuate it even more.
Today is my first day starting public school again, I was homeschooled and began taking classes online when I was 12 years old. Although I am pretty introverted if I do say so myself, I did miss my friends and teachers from elementary.
"Yoo-hoo, were here." Timothy drew me out of my daydream, I looked at my new school.
It looks like a factory.
